“One of the most unique bars I have been to when it comes to "truck stop" restaurants. While the method of food delivery to your table may be unconventional, it is certainly fun. You can sit in the spacious bar and lounge area or the outdoor patio and order from diner style food from the kitchen downstairs after which it will be delivered to your server/bartender via a zip line-gondola basket thing. Get some fried curds. Everything was wonderful. I am glad there are still some unique truck stop bars left in the world. Wisconsin rules.“
“Ordered the 14" cheese pizza with pepperoni, sausage and bacon. When it arrived I was in disbelief, this thing was not 14", it was closer to 16! The thin crispy crust and pizza sauce they use made this the best pizza I have ever had. I ate the whole thing with 2 pints of spotted cow, which made a great combination. As a first time customer, if I'm ever back in the area I will be visiting again.“
“staff was nice. awesome vibe great food BUTTT very unorganized. check in and out was confusing and time consuming. other axe places Ive been too worked just like a bowling alley...you pay for your lane and people before you play and you open a tab for your food and drinks to pay after.“
“Beautiful building, awesome fireplace. Food was excellent. Have ice cream drinks that are enough to feed 3 or 4 unless you order individual size. Food was excellent. Beet salad was amazing. I had the special which was a veal strip steak. It was more like a roast it was so thick. See pics of steak and dessert which had a chocolate hard exterior and had chocolate mousse and raspberries on the inside. Server was excellent. Hostess staff were friendly and GREAT!“
“Had the meatloaf dinner. The menu online advertised it as being made with bacon and cheese curds. While it didn't have either, it was still good - just not expected. I'm not sure if the menu I saw online was old, or what. Was served with mashed potatoes and maple glazed carrots. Overall, very good. Bar atmosphere was nice with an old-time bar aesthetic. I'll definitely try the food again.“
“I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bar!!!! Duke's was the highlight of our trip to Kenosha from Florida. They have great liquor and beer selections, games, plenty of tv's AND attentive, knowledgeable bartenders! The best part....the special's shelf. I'm not sure if it's an all the time thing or just when we were there but we tried amazing bottles of close out shots at a deeply discounted rate. I hardly remember that it was -6 degrees while we were there.“
“Would have given this place 5 stars but the owner refuses to get rid of the vampire infestation. I got bited two times already n' stuph! One more and ill be a lap dog for satan, or whatever he said in Dusk till Dawn.Vegetarian options: None of the drinks have meat in them except maybe the bloody marys.Parking: There is no parking in the building but I'm sure you could land a helicopter on the roof if you're a totally wicked rad action hero. Which everyone who hangs out here is.Kid-friendliness: The kids are entirely friendly here. Ive never been bitten or sack punched.Wheelchair accessibility: Tom never lets me ride the wheelchairs. Theys ain't accessible.“
“Fries were good. Burger was flavorful and kind of cooked right. If your chef can't do medium and other variations then pink or no pink. Also if the burger says it comes with a topping then more than one or two (ie onion straws). Atmosphere was a typical keno bar but very spacious with a nice outdoor sitting area.Wheelchair accessibility: Mostly wheelchair accessible“
“My husband and I went to Vero last night to celebrate our anniversary, and it's the first time we've gone back since they reopened. I love the changes they've made with a focus on small, shareable plates which is one of my favorite ways to dine. The food was outstanding, and the staff were all pleasant and efficient. I'm excited to have Vero back and even better than it was before.“
“Yes... it's a pub but just not a pub. It supports bands that pass thru, but they now have added a kitchen that serves a bit of variety of dishes plus rib tips and brisket, which was very good but slightly tough for my liking. The other thing I like was no tiny containers for taking your spork for the one spoonful. I'm so glad this one is very close to the compound, too.“
“The food is great and the people are great and Kayla is the best she is on top of everything and she takes care of all of her customers so well she is the greatest girl I love her to the moon and back Julie's little sister jello and her “
“We found this place yesterday on our way to The Goodwill Outlet. What an awesome place! Everyone was so welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. We all ordered the fish fry ( cod) and it was perfectly cooked. It had that good crunch when you bite into it. Also, for your side get the cheesy tater tots. The prices were great too. Can't wait to go back!“
“This is the 3rd time I have gone here & I am more upset with myself that I don't go here more often. The food is amazing & the atmosphere is great. I can see why it wins best fish fry in Racine County. Came in with my girlfriend for a Lentil Fish Fry & it definitely did not disappoint at all. Wait was 30-40min but I entered expecting that. Found a spot at the bar for the final 25min of the wait. Ordered the Calimari for an appetizer. Very good & you could tell it wasn't some fake Calimari bc it looked like a real octopus. Tasted great. Got the bluegill with sand dollar potato chips. Absolutely phenomenal all Around. 4 great sized pieces. Perfectly crispy & not too battered. Rarely do I ever take home leftovers but only finished 2 of the 4 pieces & half of the Calimari. So had an amazing lunch on Saturday. Girlfriend got the perch & also came with 4 great sized pieces. The sand dollars are amazing. Great prices for portion sizes as well as phenomenal taste. 5* place“
“Where to start?! The food is always amazing, drinks are wonderful and the staff are kind and courteous. Buca's has a very welcoming atmosphere where some other places I have gone, do not seem to be so much. With pool, darts, bowling and machines to play, you'll never be bored! Buca's has monthly dinner specials and weekly specials which I love. If you haven't tried Buca's, I highly recommend you do!“
“the BEST HOMEMADE Italian pasta! a true Italian knows the difference! it was great to meet Mario, he's very friendly. large portions. I had lasagna, hubby had stuffed shells & meatballs. KUDOS to Marios Mom for making the pasta, because she enjoys adding her personal touch. I will most definitely be back often. -Sheila from Wausau WI“
“What a cool hidden place in Kenosha. I was recommended here for their fish fry and it did not disappoint. The back patio was open and it cause a bit of a rush. Although the bartenders and servers were busy, they kept a smile on their face and were extremely nice, personable, and funny! We will definitely be coming back.“
“Definitely a very diverse crowd, but a very good diverse crowd. Bartenders are very much what every bar in town needs. Jukebox is completely unlocked so you will not be stuck not being able to find your artist or song. This pub is my personal top 3 picks in town.“
“Ah, Bill's Corner Club. This is truly a fond memory for me. I am a 1965 graduate of Bradford high school and used to drink and play pool at Bill's. It truly is so long ago. I am happy to see this site. So does anyone remember me? If so, let me know. Cheers, John Wells now living in Yokohama, Japan“
“I like the perch dinner with tots & I like Rick the bartender/waiter who I am sure does not get paid enough for all that he does. You give way too much potatoes - both tots & fries. Cut those down a bit & save yourselves some $$.“
“First time back in a couple of years. Our beach has been questionable as far as safety. The band was nice to hear, Fall Hazard. Pretty weather, and my ESA was welcome. I tried the nachos, they were acceptable but not anything I would come back for. Always nice to people watch.“
“Best bar in Kenosha. No nonsense dive bar... always good music and people. They make a great old fashioned that you can sip while enjoying the seasonal beer selection. This is the quintessential downtown Kenosha hang. We stop in when Anthony is bartending and he always makes us feel like part of the family :)“
“I always have a blast when I go to Dickies. It's right down the road from the house. The second you walk in you feel welcomed and like you are at home unlike some bars that make you feel like you are an outsider if you aren't a regular. Tommy the owner is a real good guy I have had a couple good conversations with him“
“If you want large portions of delicious food… incredible, fast, and friendly service…. and a fun place to eat…. This is the place! We went in a Friday because we wanted fish. We started off with the best fried mushrooms we have ever eaten. I can’t believe we ate all of them. For our entrees, my wife had the Poor Man’s Lobster with potato pancakes and I had the biggest piece of Walleye Pike I have ever seen… with a baked potato. Everything was delicious! Yum! Our waitress Jamie was the most helpful, friendly and fun person ever! She made our dinner even more enjoyable. I highly recommended The Foxhole Lounge. We will be back for sure!!!NOTE: This place is open to the public. You do not have to be a veteran to eat here!“
“We were here on a Saturday night, a great band was playing, and the place was packed. There were even people dancing, and everybody was singing along to some cover song if they knew it. There are some good people watching, drinking, and keeping up with friends going on. It was very clear that people really loved this place.I didn't get any food here, but the service for drinks was great and the staff has a lot of personality“
“Wow! Back in the day, we'd have a snort at the port ( of whiskey). Hey Yo Sal wtf? Warren on his drums, GG Allen flinging his business everywhere. Be sure to stand way back. If you never saw GG Allen, Beautiful Burt and the Crotch Crickets or the Electric Circus...You have no idea what you missed. Oh the end of the 80's early 90's were epic!“
“We stopped hwre after it was a strong suggestion to visit because of the rooftop view. The hotel is elegant and modern without being pretentious. Perfectly balanced with sunlight, plants and lounge atmosphere. The drinks were fairly priced and the charcuterie board is worth every penny. The bartenders were friendly and enjoyed conversation while giving us some history lessons as well. This gem also had my favorite Chicago liquor, Malort, which is hard to find outside if Chicago. Can't say enough good things and excited to go back when it's summertime.“
“If you love everything German, this is the place to be. It's a member's only club so you'll need to find somebody that is one. But if you can, don't miss out. Great beer! Great drinks and just an all-around fun place to go and enjoy an evening out.“
“Bartenders are always friendly and it's just a good, overall, atmosphere. Usually enjoy my time there. Only on one occasion (recently), I and other patrons were yelled at numerous times by another customer around five or ten minutes before close "get out.... time to go"!. He was definitely NOT an employee, but a patron yelling at myself and others it was time to leave, as he was enjoying his beer. Other than the one bad experience every other occasion has been very enjoyable.“
“Just finished an incredible Fat Tuesday/early Valentine’s dinner at Sturinos! The eggplant Parmesan was the best I’ve ever had! The eggplant was sautéed and seasoned perfectly with a nice topping of Parmesan and mozzarella. Usually the eggplant has so much breading that you hardly taste the eggplant itself. This was just perfect. My husband had the meatloaf special and loved it. The mashed red-skin potatoes were delicious and the meatloaf was flavorful and moist. Everything is homemade and fresh. One of our favorite restaurants in the area!“
“First time I visited there they don't have foods so I can't rate food. Place was very pleasant. Our bartender was excellent. Very attentive but not pushy. And quite personable. Also bathrooms are clean as was the general space. I would definitely go “
“This is a good old fashioned country bar. Bartenders and patrons are very friendly and everyone makes you feel welcome! The drinks are low to medium in price - great bloody mary's. It has a back room for for large parties and the owner says it is free to low $$ to use for a party! I will make this a regular place to stop and shoot the breeze!“
“Our new favorite spot to go for drinks on a Friday after dinner! As new Kenoshans we’ve been trying out the many local bars to find our new “spot” and this just may be it. The Friday night bartender Tonya is super friendly, makes everyone feel welcome (even us out-of-towners!) and knows your name and drink after your first visit - definitely has a cheers vibe which I love! Very low key quintessential Wisconsin neighborhood bar with everything you need! Will definitely be returning!“
“Love this place! Super great atmosphere and the bartenders are exceptional! Food and drinks are great, and the people you meet are wonderful! 5 stars well deserved. Shoutout Samuel! He's the best bartender there! Definitely shake his hand and get to know him!“
“I manage this bar and I can't begin to say how blessed I am to be a part of Witt's. The best part is all of our customers!!! We have such an amazing mix of people that it makes coming to work an absolute BLAST! This year, 2019, has to be the best yet!! We had lots of music outside, camping, bon fires, parties of ALL kinds, benefits, poker runs, memorials and the best part??? EVERYONE HAD AN AWESOME TIME!! I just want to THANK everyone that walks through our doors!! MUUUUWAHHHH!!! michelle“
“Bre was our server and she was VERY personable and so accommodating with our requests. The food was excellent and ordered one of their special cocktails and it was delicious! I ordered the smothered chicken and my husband ordered shrimp Cajun Alfredo and it was “
