“Definitely my favorite coffee spot. Always friendly, always quick with my order, always making sure that my perks number is put in. I never have to wait long and my drinks are exactly the way I've ordered them. I've ordered food quite a few times when I've gotten my coffees and I've never been disappointed. I could say that the bagel sandwiches are sometimes too hot to consume. But it wouldn't kill me and wait a few minutes to eat. ?“

“Very unique cafe. A great place to study, play board games, and catch up with loved ones over some coffee and sandwiches. My husband spends a lot of time here studying since its only a bike ride away, but even if it were further this is by far his favorite coffee shop in Duluth/Superior area. The owner is very friendly and you can find him behind the bar at times. You can also find his wife's art up for purchase. Lots of local goods. Thank you for your hospitality!Parking: Parking is behind the building, but you can park on the street as well for free (:“

“First timer here. I had the ham and cheese croissant and the sourdough white bread loaf. Standard pricing compared to all other French style bakeries around the country. I travel often and I love to find bakeries. This is one of the top French style bakeries I’ve found. Great service and atmosphere, excellent location, highly recommended!“

“Dovetail Cafe never fails to make my mornings. I love going there to get a hot drink and one of their many baked goods. One of my favorite things to order is the Chai Tea Latte and their Pumpkin Bread. The atmosphere of Dovetail is also why it keeps me coming back. They provide a rustic and friendly atmosphere. They provide free books to read and free games to play. Along with crafts and artwork that is available to buy. One of my favorite things at Dovetail is the large windows. I love the natural light and the warmth that comes from the windows. The service is also wonderful. The workers create a welcoming environment and ordering is clear and easy.“
“Perfect stop for a date after dinner at one of the great restaurants in the area. Super close to the lake/lake walk which makes it a must stop!! Prices are not bad for being a pretty touristy spot and the quality of their malts/ice cream are always superb.“

“One of my very favs in Duluth! Everything is great, but the pancakes are my personal fav. You're going to get A LOT of food, and the pancakes are literally the size of your head! It's a far west Duluth favorite, so be prepared to wait, have patience, and tip your staff well!“

“Another excellent breakfast today! The three girls working were quick, efficient, extremely friendly, and even though they were swamped, they managed it well. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious and the smoothies are always a family favorite! I highly recommend!! #5stars“

“Quick service. I was stuck in the Caribou drive thru and just said "screw it. This place across the street can't be any worse". And it wasn't. It was amazing. Got my coffee in like 30 seconds. Also, amazing staff. No dead eyes and broken souls among the bunch. Highly recommend.“

“Wife and I gave this place a try. We like giving local business our patronage and feel everyone deserves a try. The location used to be a Vape shop before and they did a great job with the remodel. It was very bright and welcoming. It's not your typical sit down restaurant though. You order at the counter and then have a seat. Other than them bringing your food when it is ready, it's pretty much a serve yourself kind of place. Grab you silverware, syrup, butter and even coffee condiments. The ambience is simple, as well as the tables and chairs throughout. The menu isn't bad but quite a few waffles resemble that of something you'd get at the county fair. I ordered the Sconie (a Belgian waffle, spread with raspberry jam, with ham and cheese) and my wife, Chicken+Waffle. The Sconie, I believe is to be an homage to the Monte Cristo sandwich, which I love. When the food came out, my wife's looked delicious! Mine, not that great. The ham on my waffle looked like standard store bought sliced ham(only 2 slices) and regular American cheese. It must not have been in the warmer long enough because the ham was still cold in the middle. I will say it was good and I did eat all of it. However, the waffles are quite small. Much like the size you'd make at home. My expectation was, if you're a restaurant selling waffles, they should be bigger than what I can make at home. None the less, my wife's waffle was really good! The chicken tender was crispy and juicy! Together with the sweetness of the syrup and the waffle, it was decedent! I should have ordered the same as her. I did like the fact that they had iced coffee for a beverage choice and with free refills! It was very good coffee too! I drank 2 glasses and got one to go! Overall, I do recommend Superior Waffles. I feel they could improve on some things but the experience was positive. I will be going back again!“
