“This was our first visit to the restaurant. We were out of town for the night and wasn't sure where to eat. This was kind of a celebratory night, we had been married for one month. Patty was our waitress and she was simply amazing! When she asked what we were up to and told her she congratulated us and even asked to see some pictures. Our food was delicious. I had the filet mignon and my husband had a burger. Also deserving of a mention was the white chocolate cheesecake we shared for dessert. It was to die for! Great food and great service, we will definitely be back in the future🙂“

“They are dog friendly and have consistently had good options on tap. Do know that they are a bar only, not a resturaunt. They have bags of chips for sale, but no food food. I like it because I like having a place out that I can take my dog. Dogs allowed inside and out on the patio.“

North 48 also has a huge liquor selection and fresh juices for mixed drinks which I thought was a really nice touch.“

The building has a history to it that shows in the classic homey bar way. This IS a place to go when you just want to sit at a bar enjoying fantastic soul food spins and get away from the typical bar food fare.Food was so tasty, it all disappeared before I even thought of taking a photo. “Normally we have good luck at the Chancery. Not the case yesterday. I went with my six year old, clearly a “kid” but the seating host didn’t give us a kids menu. I had to go ask for one. I ordered the California wrap with no onions or avocado because I have some food sensitivities. It came with no onions or tomato. I didn’t realize this until I was about halfway through eating it. Thankfully it’s just sensitivity and not an allergy. The cheese on my son’s grilled cheese was barely melted. I could clearly see where each slice of cheese was placed. When the server brought our bill, he did not bring a pen to sign my slip. A bunch of little things but they added up. Hopefully our next experience will be better.“

“This is a spot my family and I frequent quite often. We love the atmosphere and especially the staff. They are always friendly and welcoming and make us feel at home. It is like one big family there, they remember you and always make you feel special. The food is terrific! We love the Friday fish fry with potato pancakes and their clam chowder is delicious! My son is crazy about the Mac and cheese. Their burgers are great as well and they have a special on Thursdays and they are only $8.95. (They even have gluten free buns if you prefer that!) They have wing nights on Tuesdays and bingo every other week which is always fun. 10/10 would recommend!!!“

“Can't speak to the other reviews. Staff are friendly, food is excellent, service was quick. We have been trying to find great fish frys around the area, and this is one of the best. The pieces are thick, soft but don't crumble apart and the tartar sauce has a great homemade flavor you don't find in a lot of places. Potato pancakes are THE best we have come across. Seasoned perfect with that onion/chive taste but eat like a great hashbrown. Colesaw was a light white dressing with a lemon/vinegary taste.

Well worth the visit. We look forward to coming back other nights to try the rest of their menu.

My wife had the pan-fried walleye (huge!) and I had the deep-fried perch (5 generous pieces). Both entrees were delicious. The potato pancakes were a very good side dish, better than a lot of other potato pancakes I've had elsewhere. Service was attentive and the price was very reasonable.“
