Sold for Life!! Wonderful experience, wonderful dinner, drinks, conversation with the owner was a blast, everything was perfect. I could write a book on how great this place is. JUST GO!
Went to the Wagon Wheel on Yelp reviews. Met Gary at the bar; what a charming man. Had a few Brandy old Fashioned's talked about the history of the restaurant and then sat at our table. We ordered the Butterball filet for two. It was incredible! I will put this up against any of the downtown Chicago steak houses. You could cut the filet with a butter knife. Awesome cut of meat! Our favorite place to eat in Wausau... Family, Friends or Business. The Wagon Wheel is uniquely rustic and charming. An escape from the fast pace of the "Real World" We love the menu because everything on it has been mastered by the chef. The steaks and seafood our fantastic. And the drinks... Great wine list. As my wife said "why can't you have just wine for a meal". And Gary has some secret drinks that finish off the evening in style.
