Best soul food around in Milwaukee and all around the city ! Definitely hands down the freshest. My food is always hot and fresh! Dressing is the bomb. Fish, yams , Mac , greens is always on point 5 ⭐️

Plate Pleasures Eatery | Soul Food is a southern food spot that serves classic soul food. A first time customer tried fish, yams, greens, and a Mac & cheese roasted chicken. The food was not bad, but the customer was looking for a different place for soul food. Another reviewer praised the chef and said the food is delicious and the portions are great for your buck. The turkey leg is also a highlight. A customer from Houston Texas said the catfish, red beans & rice, greens, cornbread and the german chocolate cake were all great and made him feel back home. A recent takeout order of catfish, yams, macaroni, and greens was flavorful and seasoned perfectly, but the cashier was not very welcoming. Service was 2/5, food 4.5/5. The staff and owner are friendly and go above and beyond to make the experience memorable. The food is always hot and cooked to perfection. It is a little pricey but worth it. The restaurant receives 5 stars for great customer service and delicious food. Customers will definitely come back.
