“Birthday dinner for my 8YO daughter. Shout out to the entire staff at Wonita Sushi Seafood and Bar. They were super patient with the kids, waiter was awesome and even brought an extra dessert after simply noticing my daughter looking with envy at her brothers choice. Then waiting for the bill, the host (manager/owner?) noticed the kids eyeballing the lobster tank and he pulled up a stool for them to get a better look. He explained to the kids the growth rate of lobsters and we explained it was my daughters birthday dinner. Walking to the car, he chased us into the parking lot and gave her a special birthday stuffed animal. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been this impressed with service. Especially as it was just another day to them, we didn’t mention the bday until leaving. We had planned a different place that is closed on Mondays. Glad we tried Wonita. They left a very favorable impression on both kids and they both said they want all future birthdays at Wonita!!“

“Wife and I went for a long walk along the east side then decided to look for a sushi restaurant. Found this place close by. We ordered 5 different rolls and some veggie Stirfry w a side of rice. Everything was excellent! We had a great experience. Reasonable prices. We would go back.“

“I said I’d never eat sushi until I tried it for the first time at Katsuya in Studio City. I fell in love with the crispy rice tuna tartare 😋🍱 Until I had it at Wasabi!!! Things will never be the same. No restaurant can make it better!!! The Cali Crunch roll is a close second. This is hands down THE ONLY place I will eat sushi. “This delightful find was perfect in every way. But the food was the shining star for us all. The special sushi rolls we chose were each delicious ( Scorpion king, milwaukee, and ocean). We ordered wasabi shumai pork dumplings and they were definitely a hit. We also love the yellow jalapeno appetizer as well as the tuna capacho! Both were FABULOUS! Cocktails were allay lovely. “The restaurant is a bit small, but that’s the only downside I can give you. The customer service was TOP-NOTCH. We went again the other day & the manager/owner took such good care of us. Right before we left, he even gave us some of the best dessert that I’ve had in YEARS. I’m drooling again just writing this review. On top of that, the food has never disappointed—from the sushi to the yakisoba to the fried rice to even the appetizers (etc), always super fresh & soo delish! I can assure you it’s some of the best sushi I’ve ever had.“

“I pride myself in leaving honest reviews, and I'm genuinely surprised that the reviews here are not better.

The most important thing about any restaurant - the quality of the food.... Excellent. We ordered 3 different types of dumplings as well as salad, edamame, and fried rice noodles. Two adults and two children under 4... We literally ate every bite. We are small people. We rarely clean our plates this way at a restaurant. It is so good!!!

The person working here suggested that the pork and beef dumplings are their best ones and that the noodle dishes are great, so we ordered those items.

There was only one person for seating, taking orders, and cooking as best I could tell. Considering there were 3 other tables as well as carryout orders the food came pretty fast.

Please, please, please try it out. You won't be disappointed and we want to come back here repeatedly - that means they need patrons to keep coming! If you love it leave a review! We need restaurants like this around here and not chains. So good I literally didn't want to leave the restaurant without writing the review.“
