“I had ordered a pizza last night from Alphonso‘s and I thought it was the absolute worst pizza I ever had when it arrived at my house. It was almost burnt. I called and complained to the manager. He said he would do everything he could to make it up to me. So I stopped in today and they gave me a pizza and one of their sandwiches and I haven’t had the sandwich yet because I’m too full from the pizza, it was a night and day difference From yesterday to today. It was excellent.“

“Came from madison area, to experience some of the best wings, and most friendly bar atmosphere I’ve ever seen! Our Bartender/server, Brad was extremely friendly, and very helpful when it came to the menu! The wings were saucy, yet perfectly crisp, and moist on the inside and Very large healthy wings!! The tap beers were on special, and also enjoyed some of they’re famous old fashions. Definitely will be making the trip back!! We come here weekly like clockwork now - before moving here it was my choice when I’d come up from IL to visit (when it was my time to pick) - for the Jacks, Ecto Cooler & the Parm fries but also for the EXCEPTIONAL service by Katie. “We stopped there at about 630 pm on a Friday for fish fry. They accept reservations but we didn't make one and they were able to actually get us in pretty quick. Service was fast and friendly and fish was delicious! I would definitely recommend!“

“This was our 1st. time here and it certainly didn't disappoint! Atmosphere was really nice, cozy but still fun. Our waitress Eliza was super, checking on us but never pushy. She gave us some great recommendations that were absolutely delicious. We started with sharing a cup of corn and crab chowder, beet and goat cheese salad and sautéed crawfish with crossttini. Everything was fantastic, not to spicy hot just seasoned well. Main course was also great, steak and mashed potatoes....super tender and juicy steak came out exactly like we ordered...perfect meduim rare. That doesn't happen often. Also had the blacken salmon with asparagus and beans and rice. Again can't say enough it was delicious. Then to top the evening off we shared the beneignts with a fruit sauce. YUMMY Kudos to you all the chef and waite staff and Eliza for a great dining experience.“

The service is truly excellent: they're always pleasant, the prices are reasonable, the order is always right, it's always ready on time (usually a little early in fact), always hot and fresh. When I'm ordering for the spouse and kids, or on the odd Thursday evening when I'm too tired to cook, and what I really need is for everyone to get what they expected, no surprises or delays or hassles, this is the place. They have a few tables but the vibe is definitely takeout. “Incredibly legit northern Chinese restaurant. As an ABC (American born Chinese), I was literally the least Chinese person there when we went. Seems like the whole Chinese population in Milwaukee knows about this place, and it definitely deserves the recognition.

They have an extensive menu, but their northern style foods really stand out - dumplings, noodle/soup noodle dishes, and certain stir fries that are more specifically from northern China. Our favorites that we ordered were the 地三鲜 (eggplant, potato, and green pepper) and 麻辣汤米线 (spicy soup with noodles?).

Their food does seem to run on the salty side, but it’s also because it is mostly intended to go with white rice.

Will definitely be coming back.“
