“I had ordered a pizza last night from Alphonso‘s and I thought it was the absolute worst pizza I ever had when it arrived at my house. It was almost burnt. I called and complained to the manager. He said he would do everything he could to make it up to me. So I stopped in today and they gave me a pizza and one of their sandwiches and I haven’t had the sandwich yet because I’m too full from the pizza, it was a night and day difference From yesterday to today. It was excellent.“

It was very good. The sweet potato chips were also really good. Bonus was the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. However, today I only wanted water due to drinking a big diet coke on the drive and they still charge $3 for a cup, or I could purchase a bottle of water, and I had those in the car too. They have signs on the door for no outside food and drink. But the food was good and if I lived in the area, I would be a repeat customer.“

The venue was absolutely perfect for the German Oktoberfest theme we were going for. The food was great and the staff were welcoming and prepared. We come here weekly like clockwork now - before moving here it was my choice when I’d come up from IL to visit (when it was my time to pick) - for the Jacks, Ecto Cooler & the Parm fries but also for the EXCEPTIONAL service by Katie. She helps me navigate this large, fabulous menu & she has never steered us wrong. She is so knowledgeable, fast & friendly. I only wish every place had a Katie to accent a menu this delicious. “This is my family's go-to for Chinese. The service is truly excellent: they're always pleasant, the prices are reasonable, the order is always right, it's always ready on time (usually a little early in fact), always hot and fresh. When I'm ordering for the spouse and kids, or on the odd Thursday evening when I'm too tired to cook, and what I really need is for everyone to get what they expected, no surprises or delays or hassles, this is the place. They have a few tables but the vibe is definitely takeout. The food is fine -- I wouldn't say it separates itself from the pack of local Chinese takeouts -- but they have a dim sum menu which is rare in Milwaukee, and there are a few gems on it.“

“Incredibly legit northern Chinese restaurant. As an ABC (American born Chinese), I was literally the least Chinese person there when we went. Seems like the whole Chinese population in Milwaukee knows about this place, and it definitely deserves the recognition.

They have an extensive menu, but their northern style foods really stand out - dumplings, noodle/soup noodle dishes, and certain stir fries that are more specifically from northern China. Our favorites that we ordered were the 地三鲜 (eggplant, potato, and green pepper) and 麻辣汤米线 (spicy soup with noodles?).

Their food does seem to run on the salty side, but it’s also because it is mostly intended to go with white rice.

“This family-owned Chinese restaurant is amazing! I ordered the chicken fried rice and chicken dumplings. The fried rice was served warm and was perfectly balanced. It was golden-brown, savory, and flavor-packed. I couldn't resist it! The dumplings were excellent as well. They were very savory and were truly mouthwatering.
The environment of the store is very nice as well. It's a chill place that's not too loud and is decorated in nicely. The employees are very kind and friendly, and the owners are great people as well. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone in the area looking for some authentic, delicious Chinese food.“

“This was our 1st. time here and it certainly didn't disappoint! Atmosphere was really nice, cozy but still fun. Our waitress Eliza was super, checking on us but never pushy. She gave us some great recommendations that were absolutely delicious. We started with sharing a cup of corn and crab chowder, beet and goat cheese salad and sautéed crawfish with crossttini. Everything was fantastic, not to spicy hot just seasoned well. Main course was also great, steak and mashed potatoes....super tender and juicy steak came out exactly like we ordered...perfect meduim rare. That doesn't happen often. Also had the blacken salmon with asparagus and beans and rice. Again can't say enough it was delicious. Then to top the evening off we shared the beneignts with a fruit sauce. YUMMY Kudos to you all the chef and waite staff and Eliza for a great dining experience.“
