Amazing broiled whitefish!
We love sitting at the bar, small but cozy, bartenders great conversation. Brian remembers our drinks as well as what my husband eats every time we come in. Great food too!
Overall, it is fine. We enjoyed dining there. One thing I need to point out is there is a significant difference of price listed in the menu on OpenTable vs. actual in the restaurant. For example, the listed Grilled Beef Tenderloin burger listed on OpenTable is $13.95 and the actual in the menu at the restaurant yesterday, 7/24/2026 was $22.95, if I remember correctly. This is about a 50% addition! To say the least, it is a false advertisement.

The staff is friendly, and the bar room provides a cozy and authentic atmosphere reminiscent of traditional German establishments. The restaurant is known for its popular Wiener schnitzel à la Holstein and the best fish fry in Milwaukee, featuring perfectly breaded perch and homemade tartar sauce. Guests enjoy the gourmet quality of the food, from the bread to the schnitzel, and appreciate the attentive service. The atmosphere is wonderful and reminiscent of Door County, making it a great place for both locals and visitors. Although the bathrooms could use an update, the inn remains a beloved spot for a memorable meal.
