Moguls Reviews
UPDATE: Moguls has permanently closed. Muttley's has reopened after a long closure and has taken their old restaurant space back.
Bottom line up front: the food is very good and portions are generous, but the limited choice of side dishes and sub-par service don't justify the menu prices.

Excellent service. The chef has mastered the Lemon Cream Sauce! Lobster raviolis were delish. And the Strawberry Shortcake was also delicious!
One of the best meals I've ever eaten! Every aspect done to perfection. The salad dressings made in-house, the sides of the day, even the bread was phenomenal! The service was great and portions were VERY generous! We'll be talking about this place for a long time- and mourning that we don't live close enough to eat here again!

Moguls, located in Davis, West Virginia, was known for its excellent food, generous portions, and warm atmosphere. The restaurant offered a cozy and welcoming vibe, making guests feel well taken care of by attentive service. The menu featured a variety of appealing dishes, with every entrée coming with a house salad and homemade bread, and local Big Timber beer was available to complement the meals. Popular choices included the massive 16 oz ribeye, seafood dishes like zuppa di pesce packed with scallops, shrimp, squid, and mussels, and a seafood trio. The quality of the food was highly praised, with many guests describing their meals as some of the best they had ever eaten. The salad dressings were made in-house, and the bread was described as phenomenal. Desserts such as crème brûlée, seven-layer chocolate cake, and turtle cheesecake provided a sweet ending to the meals.
However, the restaurant's higher prices compared to local options were noted, with some feeling that the limited side dish choices—mainly mashed potatoes and green beans—could be more varied. Service received mixed reviews; while some found it quick and efficient, others experienced issues like early entrée arrival, neglected specials, or overly cold beer coolers. Despite these shortcomings, many guests recommended making reservations due to the popularity of Moguls. Overall, Moguls was celebrated for its fabulous food, attentive service, and welcoming atmosphere, making it a memorable dining spot in the area.
