Went in for pickup. Ordered 3 cabbage roll meals for New Years. It was the absolute best you could get. Cabbage rolls were cooked perfectly and hefty with rich sauce over them. The mashed potatoes were homemade and filling. The coleslaw was like something my grandma would’ve made for me if I were to visit. After doing some long hikes at New River, my friend and I decided to stop by Heart of Gold Diner for some lunch. It's located in a small town and we were pleasantly surprised on the food!The Food: I had the "Double Mushroom Swiss Bacon Burger" and side of "Chili Cheese Fries". The burger itself was delicious! Good food after a long hike in the national park. I had a chopped steak burger and mashed potatoes, fried pickle chips, yum. The sweet tea is cold and sweet. There's a nice lady running the whole show all by herself, it seems. Excellent service.
