“If there were more stars than 5 to give, I would give 6! We’ve seasonally visited this establishment over the past 25 years and never have been disappointed. We arrived on a snowy morning when staff members couldn’t make it in, but were greeted warmly and accomodated. Ambiance was wonderful, they were still playing Christmas music instead of rushing to the next holiday. We were given special treatment for braving the snow. Prices are very reasonable and the food was delicious. Well worth the trip, even in snowy weather.“

Unfortunately we did not have room left for desserts...next time. Very nice atmosphere to enjoy each other's company.“

“I’ve been there a number of times, and it’s always solid. Their wings are cooked so well… juiciest freshest wings I’ve had. Tonight was Steak Night and you can’t beat $11 for a steak, potato, and salad. The staff are friendly and attentive. Food came out surprisingly fast. I don’t go here as often as I should!“

“a friend and and I stopped after dinner n a movie in our way home,, our waitress who was a young girl got nasty after we only ordered a beer. never stopped back to ask us if we needed anything else... what she did do was come back 45 minutes later and said " I need you to pay your bill because it's the end of my shift and if you need anything else you'll have to go to the bar and get it." mind you this is at 1000 at night and they still had people coming in,, I won't go back.“

“First time I went to pickles, I went specifically to get their fried pickles. This was about a year and a half ago and the coating was very thick and I was highly disappointed. I thought how can you have a bar with that name and not have outstanding pickles??? My girlfriend talked me into going again the other day and I thought okay. I'll give them another chance. Oh my gosh! Whoever made them did a perfect job. The coatiing was thin. The pickles were large Spears. It was awesome! Awesome! awesome! Did I mention it was awesome? Lol Can't wait to go back!“

“I took my family of four there after a friend recommended. Usually, when we go out to dinner at least one meal isn’t that good. I was amazed that everything was absolutely amazing. The steakhouse burger I ordered was hands down the best burger I’ve ever eaten. The poutine was great, the pretzel sticks with beer cheese was sublime. My wife and 17 year old daughter ordered chicken sandwiches and they raised the bar on chicken sandwiches. The salad was great. My younger daughter (picky eater) ordered a pizza from The 304 Wood Fired Pizza, it was the best pizza I’ve had in the Ohio Valley. In conclusion, this place is one of the best restaurants, if not the best restaurant in Wheeling. Definitely going to be a regular there. I’d have to give it a 15 out of 10 rating.“

“We are from out of town & saw the parking lot was busy but decided we’d try anyways! It was really really busy but Sara our waitress apologized - it looked like she was the only waitress. We assured her it’s ok & she was wonderful. It took a very long time to get our food but when Sara brought it - it was hot & delicious! We had no complaints at all! We also appreciated how nice Sara was in spite of her trying to service the entire place! She was wonderful“

“Sent my parents here for a special “date night” while they were in from out of town for a show at the Capitol. Made reservations in person and asked for it to be a special night. Food is perfect and Joey, Abbey, and all of the staff make you feel like they’ve known you their whole life. “We came into Wheeling for the Symphony and this place was in 5 minutes walking distance, and I’m so glad we came! The service was great, and we loved the meatloaf platter- the bacon gravy was to die for! Also get the apple crumble for dessert- so good! Great Appalachian comfort food, and the waitresses were so kind. Will be back!“

“I chose this place because it was across the street from the hotel I was staying at, and it ended up being one of the best meals I have ever had. The Reuban burger was perfectly pink. The coleslaw was better than my grandma used to make, and I didn't think that was possible.

And let's talk about the strawberry shortcake...this cake was so good I am honestly planning a family vacation back here just to eat this freaking cake again.
