“The food here is incredible. The quality of the fish is incredibly high and the attention to detail is spot on. Dont forget to get the cauliflower appetizer, probably some of the best cauliflower I've ever had. Smoky, spicy with a hint of nuttiness/sweetness. The hamachi sashimi was my favorite, highly recommend!“

“So Jarana is actually the kitchen inside of the bar, Lulu. It was a bit confusing when we first walked by and were trying to figure out where it was. We ordered the saltado with steak and the ceviche as well. The steak was soooo tender. The sauce had good umami flavor. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Rice had such a good seasoned flavor. I will think about this dish for a while. The ceviche was also really good. I loved the mango and passion fruit to add sweetness. I didn't expect fried fish and fish chicharrones. So yummy. It might be a bit pricey, but the food is SO good!“

“First of all, wow! Best poke bowls I’ve ever had. My friend and I came here and ordered the Tomyum Salmon Poke and the Aburi Salmon Don, along with some baked mussels. The fish is so fresh and they even give you free miso soup with every bowl and a little utensil bag with a hand towel and toothpick. I also recommend the onigiri (perfect snack). I’ll definitely be back soon!“

“This hands down is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland OR. It the same quality of other top spots in the US like Nobu , O-Ya , and Morimoto . The location is perfect located in the Pearl district. The chefs are high quality and the fish is extremely fresh. They have a great but simple flavor approach. The service is warm, helpful, and appreciative. I always ask for Joy as she is a true professional and loves providing an exceptional experience on every visit.“

“I love Japanese sandos and was so happy to find this spot when visiting Portland. My husband and I shared:- Miso Katsu Sando with Pork- Naka Sando- Tokyo Curry Pan SandoI don't think you can go wrong with anything you get here. The Miso Katsu Sando was my favorite. I loved the sauce and all of the flavors. The curry sando was super unique. I enjoyed the first few bites the most, but then it got a bit too heavy for me with the fried bread. I would ideally want to share this with 4 people. The cart consistently has a line. We waited about 40 minutes for ordering + receiving our food. You can order in advance too, but they weren't sold out of any sandos when we got there around noon on a weekend. There is a lot of covered outdoor seating and heaters when it's cold. Parking in the area is paid street parking only.“

“Seriously my favorite bowl of ramen in the city. Super spicy and delicious. The broth is tasty, full bodied and very satisfying, perfectly complimenting the soft, doughy noodles. Five stars.“

“This place is great- it’s fresh, it’s fair priced, it’s healthy, it has 4 options menu what makes it better because food is prepared daily like the ones at home. The chef is such a friendly, polite and honest person that makes you feel welcome. Also it’s local and we support small family businesses.Vegetarian options: I ordered the kale with vegetables and I really enjoyed it! Highly recommended!“

“Such a tiny spot we almost missed it. Just a counter with one worker, not a place to sit and eat or anything which I didn't realize going in. Ordered the plum and tuna which were both good. Their musubi was amazing though and I wish I had gotten more lol!“

“My recent visit to the Portland Food Hall for a quick dinner amidst my busy conference schedule was a delightful experience. This gem of a spot boasts a diverse array of culinary options catering to various tastes, which truly impressed me. Despite my visit coinciding with the peak dinner rush, the vibrant atmosphere was matched by the efficient service that seemed to flow seamlessly throughout the venue. The standout for me was the ramen – each spoonful was a revelation, with a rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles that provided a comforting and satisfying meal. It was an absolutely delicious and hearty dish that served as a highlight of my dining experience. The Portland Food Hall is a must-visit for anyone looking for a quality dining experience with the convenience of multiple cuisines under one roof. “The food is excellent and the staff is very nice! Also, they fulfill as ordered. A very welcome addition to the neighborhood! (PS - I want to add we've actually gotten food four times here so far, consistently a pleasure as stated, so not just a one-time thing!)“

“Mirakutei is one of our go-to’s for sushi, and never disappoints. This last time though, we ordered take out, and although it was delicious, one of our rolls was incorrect. I’m not even sure which one they gave us, but it was supposed to be the Burnside Bridge Roll. Kinda disappointed we got something we didn’t ask for.“

“From the moment I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised at how busy it was but such a warm comfortable atmosphere. I came for my Birthday dinner and ended the night with a complimentary dessert! Our waitress was very informative of the menu, recommendations, and how the service was going to go in order. I appreciated the Experience. I will be returning.“

“Place that gets all the details just right. Perfectly cooked and seasoned sushi rice. The rolls are elaborate but the ingredient quality is sky high - the radishes taste fresh, the Wasabi is fresh ground, the soy sauce is clearly sourced with thought. You can taste the attention to detail. If you like something that doesn't try to hide behind gobs of sauce or layers of deep fried tempura - you'll love this spot.“

“11:40a on a MondayThere are three tables, all occupied. We order the Inari, a Norimaki, and a Miso Soup. We eat the first two standing at a small bar. Then a table by the window frees up and we enjoy the miso soup there. It's all so good. We then get the three Dango to finish, and order a couple of coffee drinks and a Canele to go with them.Delicious flavors, unique atmosphere. The whole experience is delightful. Thank you!“

“Truly a gem! As a college student near Woodstock, I've walked by this spot so many times but never bothered to check it out as I already had some go-to sushi spots. However, after a sushi craving one day I decided to try it out. I ordered the sashimi super deluxe and nigiri deluxe combinations to-go and they were both delicious. The fish was fresh, cuts were big, and the variety was amazing. So, I decided to stop by the restaurant fairly recently. I came with my boyfriend for lunch and got their tempura udon, chicken karaage, and a variety of nigiri. The tempura udon and karaage portions were huge. The udon was light, sweet, and delicious, and the tempura was crispy and fried perfectly. The karaage was also a generous portion, with amazing sauce, and a small salad. And, the nigiri was once again amazing. So sad I didn't find this spot sooner as it's so delicious. And, the service is always super sweet, fast, and I love supporting these people.“

“We've had Mikasa delivery a few times and finally got to go in person. It's a nice, small, restaurant with a few tables along 1 wall. The waitresses were friendly and helpful with our questions before ordering. We got the gyoza, edamame, miso ramen, laksa ramen (made gluten free), cali & avocado rolls, and a poke bowl. Everyone was very happy with their order and gobbled it. The laksa was nicely spicy and the soft boiled egg in the ramen was so good. We'll definitely be back!Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options and they were really accommodating about food allergies so would probably also accommodate vegetarian requestsDietary restrictions: Server double checked with the kitchen for our dietary restrictions without us asking her to.Parking: Street parking on the side streetsKid-friendliness: Gyoza, edamame, and other kid friendly options. Our girls loved what they got.“

“This is a nice place for conveyor belt sushi. The location is very clean and I never noticed big gaps as the sushi went by. Prices were a bit higher than I expected, but so were some portion sizes. I enjoyed everything I tried except the saba (mackerel) nigiri which was more bitter than usual. Floor staff were very attentive. We didn't make any special orders. This was our first visit in person, though we have made delivery orders from here a few times and they were good too.“

“I just had the chicken teriyaki, to me it's the cornerstone of any teriyaki restaurant. This was excellent! The rice was very nice, separate grains, very nicely done, the chicken was obviously fresh, very very juicy, and very, very tasty, no problems for me at all, I will be back! Well done guys.“

“Had an evening food tasting here - there were several courses of delicious food provided with the experience. We added on the apple cider vinegar drink, which was the right choice to warm us up for the winter food tasting.Although I had noted with my booking that I'm gluten-free, they brought me a few courses with gluten. I had to keep checking and waiting for a revised course to be provided when the mistake was made. If you have a food sensitivity/allergy, keep this in mind and make sure you check with each serving/meal.If you do a group booking, make sure to let them know you want separate servings as they were bringing us one plate for each course for our group, until we asked them to bring us separate ones. Considering the food tasting is an expensive experience and they charge per person, this was the first time I was brought a single plate/serving for a group booking.“
