My husband and I used Charbar as our reception/dinner venue for our wedding in August 2022. Besides a few hiccups, which are to be expected, we had a great experience with them! The food was amazing and all of our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about it! The venue is a beautiful spot, and minimal decor was needed. We stopped by Charbar last Saturday afternoon after walking around the East Village area and were glad we did, the patio with the river view was the perfect spot to relax. The server recommended the bison burger and it did not disappoint, cooked just right and full of flavor. My husband loved his beer flight while I enjoyed watching the water, it felt relaxed without being rushed even though the place was busy. We'll definitely make a point of coming back next time we're in Calgary.
Stopped by for dinner last Friday evening and ended up spending half the meal photographing the flame grilled pork chop before it even got touched. The patio view over the Elbow River was the real draw though, especially with the sun going down behind downtown. Our server actually asked if I wanted a second to get the shot before clearing plates, which I appreciated more than she probably realized.
