It’s been a few years since I have eaten Edo Japan. I don’t know if it is this location, or edo in general, but I paid almost $15 for the chicken teriyaki with a drink and I was not satisfied at all. I expected more food for $15. I was still hungry afterwards.
I used to love Edo Japan. Both my wife and I found the sukiyaki beef to be bland, lacking in flavour. We’ve eaten here a couple times and both times was the same. I found the same with the location in Okotoks. I believe the reason is the teriyaki sauce is quite runny, like it was watered down. I compare use the locations out on Vancouver Island and Fraser Valley. where the sauce is thick and packed full of flavour. The food was tasty but nothing special. It was a quick meal if you’re in rush for lunch or dinner. The tempura was delicious, the sushi was okay. Overall, it’s a decent Japanese dish.
