“this is a small cute restaurant in the Kensington area., they have a very unique way to represent the sushi and it is inside the tofu skin , the sushi pockets are okay , nothing amazing or extraordinary , portions are okay too, big and filling

I ordered their pocket holic special, which comes with udon, pocket sushi and miso which is a good deal if you want to try few things in their menu

For the udon, i tried the Rose Tteokbokki Udon , its creamy with a hint of sweetness and the spiciness is just right., its like tteokbokki without the rice cake, they forgot my fish cake with it but when i told the server , they wanted to make me a new bowl but i told them , they just can give me the fish cake on the side which they did and its so good with it too

Piece of constructive feedback for the owners: near the end of our dining (around 7 pm) is started to smell like bleach in the restaurant which was not pleasant. But otherwise I'll recommend this place.“

The food was beautifully prepared and tasted amazing! one in our group is a meat and potato's guy but is now a sushi lover! expecting a huge bill at the end of the night but was shocked at how very reasonable the price was for a total of 7 people. “Had a great time at Shibuya, newly reopened in the NE Street Mall in Calgary. The food was delicious and beautifully plated. Service was awesome and our waitress was super friendly and gave great recommendations. We shared a sushi platter and it was more than enough for two. The agedashi tofu was flavorful, and topped perfectly with green onions. Loved all the rolls, especially the Mango Paradise, which is one of my favorites. The vibe was perfect for catching up with a friend and just chilling. Really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and quality time. Big thanks to Jenny and the team for such a great experience. “I love koji Katsu! They recently opened this year and I love that they’re adding and improving their menu. I definitely recommend their assorted Katsu, it’s a huge portion of their three types of Katsu (tenderloin, shrimp, and cheese) with rice soup and salad. You can easily share this with two people! And I love their Katsu sando (sandwich). The bread is so tender and it tastes like the one in Japan. They have great service and are really open to feedback! A great local place in the city“

“I was shocked by the good quality of the poke bowl of Netsui Sushi! The vegetables are very fresh and delicious and the style of the poke looks artistic ! I really enjoyed it. “Was craving onigiri so it was a good time to revisit Onigiri Japan. Previously I've always gotten their poke bowls which are also excellent.

I picked up three onigiri : tuna salad, cajun prawn, and bulgogi. They take about 15 minutes as they are made fresh!

Still as good as I remember them to be. Stuffed with filling enough to balance the amount of rice. I'm glad they aren't soo big that I could consume three in one sitting.

I saw they have beef brisket noodle soup now. Will have to try that next time!

“Annie was absolutely amazing during our visit. She was so friendly and paid close attention to every detail. Since my dad is going through cancer treatment, he has many dietary restrictions, and Annie went out of her way to make sure everything worked for him. She thoughtfully removed garnishes, served sauces on the side, and checked in with us often to confirm everything was okay. Thanks to her care, my dad was able to enjoy the meal comfortably, and that meant the world to us. We’re truly grateful for her kindness. 🥹“

“I ordered their pork katsu. Their yuzu sauce with salad, rice portion and meat tenderness was delicious. Unlike some other restaurants they didn’t offer any free refills on rice or salad. However, this was a pleasant and filling portion and I’ll be returning.“

“The best culinary experience you could possibly get for the price. The food was prepared with the upmost attention to detail. We did the Yakitori Omakase (15 course meal with drink pairings). The specially reserved seats in front of the kitchen offer a show, not just the meal. Our server Adam provided an 11/10 service, explaining the intricacies of each dish and how the each drink was tied into the given course. They also offer you the option to purchase 3 ounces of the 45 day beeswax aged A5 Waygu (which we also purchased and highly recommend to take in the full experience). You will not leave hungry, or unsatisfied in any way. If you’re in Calgary, you have to visit Shokunin.“

“We were blown away by the quality of this sushi! The tastiest sushi we have had in Calgary, hands down. The rolls are a good size, the vegetables are crisp, and the fish is actually fresh -- which is a feat, on the middle of the prairies. And they have gluten free soy sauce on hand, plus a selection of GF rolls which was good for the celiac in our group. The restaurant is small and busy so you may have to wait a little while, but trust me: it's worth it. We will be back!!!!“

“One of our few regular go to sushi places. We typically order the agedashi tofu, mixed tempura, salmon sashimi and special rolls. All great. Very efficient service (kudos to the kitchen staff) and servers are excellent, headed by Mina who is both friendly and welcoming. Place is small so make reservations on Fridays and weekends in particular. Try it.“
