Piece of constructive feedback for the owners: near the end of our dining (around 7 pm) is started to smell like bleach in the restaurant which was not pleasant. But otherwise I'll recommend this place.“

“Super fresh, soft melt in your mouth sashimi! 🤤🤤 Onion flower roll was fire 🔥 yam roll was so good and fat! Really good portions for everything, sashimi as well! Seaweed salad and takoyaki were all so good. Fast extremely lovely and in tune service also. Filled up waters quickly and precisely removing dishes as promptly as needed also. Also offered to refill our green tea which was extremely yummy. 10/10 would go again“

“Satsuki is the best sushi restaurant in the city. The service was very knowledgeable and welcoming. The quality of food was impeccable. We had the negi toro roll, the bluefin tuna roll, and the Satsuki roll. We also shared the sablefish risotto. The sablefish melted like butter!! Everything was absolutely delicious. “We have celebrated several birthdays with our family at Fuji Ramen. Maria is a wonderful host. She always makes us feel welcome and is very attentive, every time we have been there. The Ramen is perfectly cooked and the broth is very flavorful. I have tried the chashu Ramen, the red tonkatsu ramen and many specials in the past. The seating is good and we will be celebrating many more occasions there.“

“Had the omakase recently at Zushi and it was a great experience. The sushi they served was very good - the wife and I really enjoyed it. Favourites were the tuna with truffle oil, and the grilled shrimp topped with tuna belly. Service was super friendly. Would definitely go back for more“

“I love koji Katsu! They recently opened this year and I love that they’re adding and improving their menu. I definitely recommend their assorted Katsu, it’s a huge portion of their three types of Katsu (tenderloin, shrimp, and cheese) with rice soup and salad. You can easily share this with two people! And I love their Katsu sando (sandwich). The bread is so tender and it tastes like the one in Japan. They have great service and are really open to feedback! A great local place in the city“

“Was craving onigiri so it was a good time to revisit Onigiri Japan. Previously I've always gotten their poke bowls which are also excellent.

I picked up three onigiri : tuna salad, cajun prawn, and bulgogi. They take about 15 minutes as they are made fresh!

Still as good as I remember them to be. Stuffed with filling enough to balance the amount of rice. I'm glad they aren't soo big that I could consume three in one sitting.

I saw they have beef brisket noodle soup now. Will have to try that next time!
Give them a try, they are hidden around the corner of the food court within the building Nexen previously occupied.“

I typically order from this store online, but I decided to visit in person. Very nicely decorated, and the service was WONDERFUL. The person running the whole show in the front was very nice and energetic.

Their menu features plenty of unique items you won’t easily find elsewhere and the sushi is always fresh. I especially love that uni (sea urchin) is consistently on the menu. Add in a solid cocktail list and genuinely great service and it’s an easy win!

“One of our few regular go to sushi places. We typically order the agedashi tofu, mixed tempura, salmon sashimi and special rolls. All great. Very efficient service (kudos to the kitchen staff) and servers are excellent, headed by Mina who is both friendly and welcoming. Place is small so make reservations on Fridays and weekends in particular. Try it.“

“The best culinary experience you could possibly get for the price. The food was prepared with the upmost attention to detail. We did the Yakitori Omakase (15 course meal with drink pairings). The specially reserved seats in front of the kitchen offer a show, not just the meal. Our server Adam provided an 11/10 service, explaining the intricacies of each dish and how the each drink was tied into the given course. They also offer you the option to purchase 3 ounces of the 45 day beeswax aged A5 Waygu (which we also purchased and highly recommend to take in the full experience). We have tried dozens of places in Calgary but no one compares to the freshness, nor service and quality which is why Takumi is our favourite!! Also, after visiting NYC, San Fran, Seattle, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal Takumi ranks in our top places. We order from skip the dishes monthly but prefer to come in for cold sake, great service and exquisitely prepared sushi/sashimi. It’s tucked into a residential stretch, which adds to its charm and makes it feel like a secret spot only locals know about. I’m already planning to come back daily to try everything on the menu and leave a review for each dish.
