Starbucks in Calgary

“Very busy location, offers fair seating both inside and outside of the store. The order counter is a little crowded, with the line up extending out of the store front. Drinks and food are typically great.

After a hiccup with the register and almost being double charged; a very efficient barista, Noah, was quick to address my nearly 10 minute wait and promptly fixed my drink despite running 6 other hot drink orders.“

“I really enjoy this location and the baristas are super friendly. The disco music in the morning always brings a smile to my face and makes me want to dance! Plus, the latte was especially delicious today - the espresso was dark and rich, just the right balance of milk, and a hint of sweetness to make it divine. It's a fun, hopping place weekday mornings. I'd definitely recommend. 👌

“Went through the Drive thru this morning. Was running late for work but Kailia (cute blonde haired girl) working at the drive thru window at 10 AM, was such a delight. As I was waiting for my coffee; I’m usually anxious to get going but she calmed me right down by asking how my day was and what are my plans. The customer service here has always impressed me here and it keeps impressing me.

The only reason I didn’t give this place a 5 star for the food is because my caramel macchiato was a bit watery. But I understand perhaps there are some trainies still learning the techniques. Regardless; I’ll keep returning to this Starbucks cause the customer service is unbearable. Well done guys and gals.“

“I visited at around 1:30pm November 10th and was so impressed with the staff. It was very busy with the holiday drinks coming out and there were many orders being processed. My order was made exceptionally well and the staff were so friendly and managed the rush with stride. Will definitely be visiting again“

“The staff are always friendly and care for us. Today I looked so sad (because of my personal heartbroken loss) when buying coffee here. I have a strawberry allergy and the barista (Becca) made sure to go out of her way to sanitize the shaker cup she was using for my drink.

“Very new Starbucks outlet. I visited the old one a year ago and actually preferred it. There were more tables and the interior seemed more welcoming. The pick up lines next to the cash register in the new one didn’t do anything for me. Still—Starbucks is my favourite coffee shop.

“Used to be my favorite place to hang out on U of C campus when I studied there. It's is a considerably quieter place than Mac Hall or DC which makes it a good place for a small meeting or to study for a bit. As long as you don't happen to come here during the time when all the people that live in the Yamnuska hall decide to go get their coffee - you'll be served fast.“

“I recently found a note in my wallet with the name "Georgie-❤️" on it, a reminder of an exceptional barista who served me some months ago. Georgi was unlike anyone else on the team—genuinely warm, friendly, and clearly passionate about her job. Her kindness stood out, making a simple coffee run feel special.

It was her last day, which left me with a sense of sadness. People like Georgi, who genuinely care and go the extra mile, sometimes stand out so much that they seen as a threat to rest of the team. I hope her departure wasn't due to this, as I've experienced that feeling myself.

Starbucks, you had a gem in Georgie. Employees like her should be celebrated.“

“Friendly people and the brownies warmed up are to die for! Quiet little shop with the most comfortable seats you've ever sat in!
It was a nice atmosphere where you could read, drink your coffee, or talk to your heart's content!“

“Service is always good. Don't really eat food there as most of it is prepackaged which is lame to me. And the whole woke ideology isn't a place for any business to align with. I don't care who you spend your time with, just be kind and keep your private matters away from my kids and their schools. Other than that the people that serve me there are generally great. Just need to convince them the masks have been disproven time and again and that they can releese the fear they operate with and place their anger towards the liars who "lead" us and steal all our money! Yay!! Stay positive and look deep!!“

“I couldn't recommend this location more. The manager is the type of manager that an employee wants to have. He was serving customers and stated that he'd never ask an employee to do anything that he wouldn't do. I'm happy to support a place where a manager treats their employees with respect and appreciation. The atmosphere was very nice, quiet and relaxing. The only complaint I would make was that the sidewalk was rather dirty out front, which made it kind of icky for our pup to sit or lay down in while we had our coffee date.We will definitely return!“

“Hands down! The friendliest and most courteous Starbucks team in the city.

Everyone makes eye contact and greet people by name. This team acknowledges every person that walks in the door.

My personal thank you for setting the standards when it comes to a community friendly establishment that caters to the quality of people that reside in the local neighbourhood and surrounding areas this location provides too.

I read a review by a delivery driver and was appalled at the lack of respect he has shown this team.

Not only was he not friendly, he was selfish in placing his job above their own. Not waiting patiently while the staff serves the existing patron is a lack of mindfulness,, a selfish and disrespectful attitude. Therefore not abiding by higher standards in his/her own job is also a lack of professionalism and a very poor human being who discards everyone other than “itself”.

This is a great team and I’m glad to support them In their work and the community they serve.“

“One of the baristas made a mistake on my refresher by putting inclusions when I didn’t ask for any! She remade my drink without asking and then gave me both! The mistake being for free! This completely made my day! Thank you for bringing joy in the smallest of ways!!“

The only downside is this store is dealing with constant equipment issues and at some points limited staff showing up for work. Store needs a good equipment upgrade as it's showing its age and some wage increases for the amazing staff as well!“

“Just wanted to say thank you to the drive-thru employee working the window this morning. I came through to get coffee and some breakfast for my mother, who is in the Laugheed Hospital nearby. The employee asked what my plans were for the day, and I told him this, and he could not have been nicer about it. Sent me away with coffee, egg bites, and well wishes for my mom. “I would like to specifically address the lady who I think is the manager of this starbucks and is the one who trains everyone. She is amazing. I go there every morning and she is always a delight. “Expensive but Delicious just like every Starbucks.Fast service at this location every time I go there only 3-4 cars in the drive through, and if the drive through is packed run inside for faster service. Worked for me! Inside is clean but sitting outside at the tables catching the evening sun and dog petting is where it’s at.“

“Now this is a great Starbucks location but be prepared for it to be very busy being directly across from a college.Plenty of room to sit with a huge store seating area. The place was clean and the customer service was perfect on this visit. Free newspapers available to read on this visit which I assume is a regular Starbucks thing.“

“I've been going here since the beginning of time, my dad and I go for coffee at this location every saturday morning.
All of the staff are extremely nice and helpful, they all say hi to us and are over-the-top with their service.
The drinks can be quite inconsistent sometimes though, I order peach green tea lemonades a lot and sometimes when I order from here they won't be very sweet at all, sometimes my iced Chai lattes will taste more like milk... this doesn't happen very often but it bothers me a bit because if something tastes different than what I imagine in my head it can make me anxious.“

She is alwasy welcoming customers with bright smile. Her customer service was the best that I have ever had.
Last time when I had hard time on transfering all my accts balance to one gift card, not only she was helping me out without hesitation, also she took her extra time to sort issues out and advise me how to prevent the potential issue in the future.“

“UPDATE: This Starbucks has since moved towards the food court area.

We were waiting at a nearby gate, and my wife wanted her usual coffee. There was no line, but the staff were busy cleaning and sorting their snacks and food.

Ordering was easy, and my wife's Iced Americano was made quickly. On first sip, she confirmed that it was made to her liking.

She also asked for and received a cup of water for our little ones to share. Given that this Starbucks is inside the airport, free water is pretty precious and generous of Starbucks.

FYI, paper straws are available by request.“

“I had the pleasure of being served by Sherri the other day and was so impressed by how she took care of us! We were a drive thru order, and instead of the standard ‘what can I get you’, she started off by asking how we were, and she seemed genuinely interested in our answer. “Wow, what a pleasant location! Baristas are the sweetest ppl you’ll meet. Always so efficient in the drive thru, especially during mornings which are crazy busy.
I came in for the lavender matcha drink but sadly it got discontinued. The barista at the till was very kind to provide me with an alternative, so I ended up getting this non-dairy salted foam cookie matcha drink and absolutely loved it!

“Whoever makes my pink drinks Dragon DrinkTM/MC Starbucks Refreshers® Beverage throughout the week, you are AMAZING!! They are always perfect; the perfect ratio of coconut to juice and right amount of fruit!! Every other location makes theirs too colourless and bland and this location makes them exactly how they should be and the perfect shade of pink!!! “I love this Starbucks. The staff is very friendly. They always get my order right and they remember my order. I do agree that they are understaffed and can take awhile to get a drink. I don't think this is the staff's fault, more of a management issue.“

“Nice and quiet, not too busy Starbucks location in market square with plenty of sitting spaces just outside the door with small tables and not very comfortable chairs. Small trees provide the shade so can find a comfortable spot in sunny and warm days too.“
