“Been going to this location for 7 years. (almost 5 times a week for said 7 years) The experience is quite hit or miss. Sometimes you get a really nice and warm experience with nice food and sometimes they mess up your order. (about an 80% success rate). The bad experiences I've had are,- Too much sauce and or completely forgetting the sauce.- Cold or missing food.- Overflowing garbages, gross restrooms, flies, dirty fountain pop.- Swearing or depressed staff.- 15-30 minute wait times on food when there's no lineup.- Out of certain food items from them not ordering enough.When the experience is nice it slaps, otherwise it kinda sucks to see so many mistakes at an A&W. Especially when you're paying extra compared to other fast food joints. I do wish google would update their hours to 24/7 as I've gotten food at 2am in the morning. “We read the story on CBC about this place and how they give back to the community. We live close by so we wanted to show out support and give them a try. We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly. We explained that we came to show support because of the news story. He said "you came because of the story, but you'll return because of the food." He was absolutely right! The pizza is great! Really tender crust that is well balanced for chewy & crispy. The wings and cheesy garlic bread were also delicious. Will definitely be back for the food! ;-)“
“Absolutely blown away by this location! Food was incredible and reasonably priced considering today's inflation. The atmousphere was vibrant and fun, staff were very helpful happy and always willing to help. We got our drinks quickly and our food did not take long to arrive. The booths are very comfortable and spacious. This location is fantastic as we live in the Ponoka area, but can get up to this location within an hour, it's closer than most restaurants in Red Deer for us! “Been a while since I visited Five Guys and wanted to try it again. Was craving for a good ol' burger and that's a place to try a authentic burger joint. I visited there in the evening and the place was relatively busy with both dine in and take out customers.. i ordered the bacon cheese burger with all the fixings called "all the way" burger. And with Cajun fries and pop. The pop is free refill which is great as the place is definitely pricy. The food arrived a bit late so had to wait while enjoying the complementary salted shell peanuts. If you are allergic to peanuts ,this place might not be for you. The burger was delicious and fries were freshly made and spicy from the Cajun spice. I have the food 4 stars as the burger bun was too soft for it and it became a mess shortly after. Do not eat this burger on the go!! I have the service 4 stars just because of the wait time. I found it to be too long. The workers and specially the cashier who took my order was extremely nice friendly and knowledgeable. She deserves a 5 star on her own. Unfortunately the atmosphere lacks any warmth or personality... The place just has wooden chairs and table and that's all. There isn't any character to the place so expect to order eat and leave.I would be back for sure to have another burger but with the price they are charging, there are other places to experience as well.They also serve hotdogs. We arrived to empty restaurant and lounge closed; turns out they recently had a break in and with the lounge closed people were staying away. Waiter didn't think they had any wine with the lounge being closed. This is where things turned around. Waiter found wine, Taco Tuesday (shrimp) tacos were delicious and I also had the salt/pepper chicken wings. My colleague had the tomato soup and flatbread; also tasty. She informed me and my son it would be a 20 - 25 minute wait so we sat at the bar to kill the time. Aaron and Cody were very busy but also very attentive to us. They were both the picture of personable and professionalism. Also, if you ask Aaron to make you a surprise cocktail you are in very good hands. He is an amazing bartender. When our food was ready Hanna came to the bar and informed us she had taken the initiative to have our food placed under a warmer.
