“I'm not really an "ice cream person" - but the quality and flavour combinations that Marcus has contrived NEVER cease to amaze me. Often very long lineups for a reason (If you want to bypass the lineups, pop in and buy a quart (or 4 for a discount) and they'll serve you right away to pay for it, and you can enjoy at home. I have only found one other ice cream shop in my travels that comes close to rivaling Marcus, but one has to travel to the other side of the world to get it - Duck Island Ice cream in NZ - but that's a heck of a flight for ice cream that is almost as good as what you can get locally!)“

(Asked village ice cream employee if the Skor flavour had lots of Skor and was told, ‘I’d say so’. Ends up the Skor is blended to a dust and then mixed with ice cream. It doesn’t taste like Skor. I guess it was my fault for expecting chunks of Skor bar, but it wasn’t worth eating. I left it uneaten - what an expensive waste.
Customer service tip: If a customer asks about the taste and of the ice cream, give them a sample and let the customer decide for themselves whether they like it or not).“

“My fave ice cream place in the city esp for Asian inspired flavours. The ube is amazing. I grew up eating ube so I know when a place gets it right. Their seasonal flavours are always worth trying too. I remember they had an HK egg tart flavour and it honestly tasted exactly like an egg tart. Never had a bad flavour here. The workers are also soo welcoming and always kind, they never make you feel bad or awkward for asking to taste test anything. Love this place!“

“The ice cream quality was good and scoops were large. My only suggestion to the owner is to hire more people. At the time of our visit, there was only one person serving customers and she was running around and tried to serve everyone as far as possible, but still it took about 10 minutes to get to us. One more person could speed up the process and lift the pressure from her back.“

“So I am in love with their coconut viet iced coffee - ask them for extra blended. Its balanced it's strong and yes not too sweet. I really like their desserts too. I tried their sub no pate, and the chicken is dry. not my favorite. Their service is on the slower side because there is typically only 1-2 people working. and don't expect this place to be a great hangout spot because it's very small no public washrooms. Just grab and go. There are 3 chairs outside of the restaurant to sit but that's really it.“

It’s more expensive and doesn’t taste any different than a regular scoop of ice cream, but I like the novelty of rolled ice cream and watching them make it :)“

We had the “Softly” and it was really really good , had different levels of texture and a rich and enjoyable pistachio flavors ! And the service it was outstanding especially because it was close to closing time yet Nirav didn’t hesitate to serve us . He treated us like we were the first customers of the day (nowadays not many places have customer service like it)“

“The Earl Grey gelato might be the best in the city. The other flavours are good but the Earl Grey is crazy good. The owner is very friendly and makes the atmosphere welcoming.

I wish they had better sitting arrangements for the interior. They could have more tables out or a wall mounted table to increase sitting space. Also despite having a Wi-Fi network they forgot the password?“

There are many ice cream options from traditional (i.e. vanilla), novel (i.e. honey fig), and uncommon (i.e. ube queso). There is also a wide selection of fresh (i.e. pineapple), candy (i.e. chocolate rocks), and baked (i.e. cheesecake) mix-ins, which are unlimited. Each visit is an adventure! My family and I enjoy going to Abbey's Creations and happily consuming their ice cream. Abbey's Creations is a jewel of North West Calgary! 😊

Update October 29, 2025: Our family continues to be fans of Abbeys! From my first post we have since enjoyed Abbeys delicious ice cream cakes, including ones that have been graciously accommodated as customized special orders (Dubai chocolate, Ube with brownies, and mango are some of our favorites). Most recently I also tried the newest product: stuffed cookies. I am still working through all of the flavors, but the ube and salted caramel are my top flavors so far! Abbeys pleasantly keeps finding ways for me to break my calorie limits! 😁“

“Yesterday I went there to have a delicious ice cream in noon and i have a really fantastic experience over there.. the store was very much neat and clean, mainly I was impressed with the staff (Shailja) who explained me and encouraged me to try different flavours. “I had an awesome experience at Marble Slab! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt fun and welcoming. The workers were super enthusiastic and friendly, which made the whole visit even better. You can tell they actually enjoy their job, and they were happy to help with recommendations and make sure everything was perfect.

The ice cream itself was really good, with a lot of great flavors to choose from. Everything tasted fresh and high quality, and it was hard to decide because there were so many good options. One of the best parts for me was the toppings—especially the marshmallows. They gave me unlimited marshmallows, which was amazing and made my ice cream even better.

Overall, this place is definitely worth going to if you want a great dessert. Between the delicious flavors, generous toppings, and super friendly service, it stood out as one of the best ice cream experiences I’ve had. I’ll definitely be coming back again!“

“First time visiting here because I am vacationing in Canada. I love the vibe of the place. I think that the pricing is decent as well. I got the sundae with barn floor and halo halo. The barn floor was really good, but the halo halo was not. Being Filipino, I can say that the halo halo is not how halo halo tastes like.

Other than that, everything else was good. My sister-in-law had the cotton candy and chocolate. The chocolate was excellent!“
