“I've been several times and the service has always been friendly and genuine. This is my go-to establishment for small town Alaska vibe, reminds me of home. I haven't tried the food yet but it smelled like they were putting an excellent char on the burgers.“
“Our group ended up having dinner at Caboose lounge from our driver who actually lives in Palmer. The restaurant wasn't busy but by it being in a small town, a group of 24 could have overwhelmed them but it did not. They have a large choice of food items and they serve breakfast all day. We ordered corn fritters w honey butter to try. They were amazing! I had two and could have eaten more but my dinner hadn't come out yet. I ordered the Halibut fish & chips. I was impressed how tasty they were. Perfectly fried and seasoned well. The tartar sauce was good. The cole slaw was okay so I tried the potato salad which was better. Overall great meal! Since we had a large party, they ran out of desserts before I had a chance to order. The 17 kids in the group were able to get order desserts, the adults did not. No worries. The trip was for the kids.“

“We are visiting Alaska and found this gem. Rachel greeted us, and she was fantastic. The food was amazing, especially the homemade Hungarian mushroom soup. We definitely recommend this for a great meal. The Bloody Mary was excellent! Kudos to Rachel.“
“My family has a long history of living in the Hatcher Pass area and "The Bar" brings such fond memories of our large family dinner gatherings on Sunday. My Grandpa used to go play pool nightly through some periods in his life. It has been turned over to new management and has been remodeled entirely! Its gorgeous!! I love the friendly service, the great and affordable drinks and I'm always pleasantly surprised by some live music. If you haven't been here you should check it out!!“
