“Plenty of close parking in the lot. We arrived after dinner time and it looked clean. I didn't visit the bathroom though. Good chicken oriented menu with a few regional specialties. We did have a little trouble with our order in that our shakes were forgotten from our order but that was corrected when asked.“

“When I think of an old fashioned burger joint Hamburger Heaven is it. Think Happy Days but in real life.

The burgers are so juicy and flavorful or try the other smoked turkey club. The onion rings with the sauce put a huge smile on my face.

“They are a small business food truck that demonstrates nothing but exemplary customer service. My husband went by while they were in Helena for their to die for peach crumble. They were out of the dessert but they offered to make half a pan for us and said they will have it ready the next day at their next location at Shelby Baptist. I went by to pick it up and not only did they have it ready but they brought it out to me at my car. They are such nice people and I’m very happy at the customer service they display. Let’s support Battle Axe and I urge you to make it a point to go by and try all of their scrumptious food. Thank you Battle Axe.“

“After visiting the ACE hardware in Homewood, we decided to stop here for dinner. There was a good crowd and Bingo trivia going on. Our waitress Mercedes was great and took our drink and food order. There are 8 draft taps for a fair selection to choose from. We placed an order of a basket of onion rings for an appetizer. This appetizer could have used another horsey sauce as one does not cover the size of the basket of onion rings and could easily be shared by three people. I ordered wings with Jamaican jerk w/ mango - habanero sauce and there are 10 wings even though the menu did not indicate how many. It was a dry rub and I could not taste the mango nor was there much of a kick from the habanero. Overall, the wings were grilled and all right. The grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough was good and probably a kid favorite. There are plenty of games to keep the kids busy and a family friendly restaurant. There is outside seating. The parking is limited out front due to the other restaurant El Barrio being next door. There is public park down the street, not far from the restaurants.“

The next time we come through Birmingham, we will definitely stop by!We had lemon pepper wings, Philly cheesesteak, fried green tomatoes, cheese fries, and the pork chop plate. “It's a hole in the wall place but the food is great. I had the cheese burger and onion rings and they were awesome. My kid had the chicken sandwich with fries and he loved it! All together with an extra side of fries I paid about $26 so it wasn't bad for the amount of food we got :)“

“I've loved Milo's hamburgers for decades. Their fries are delicious. You may think you are already a fan of Milo's sweet tea, but if you haven't had any that was freshly made at Milo's (not bought at your local grocery store), you are seriously missing out.“

“First time to try this place. I can't believe the wide array of food they serve. It comes to you hot, fresh and delicious!!! I had gotten a Groupon that I'm very thankful for!!! We spent less money here than we would at Taco Bell or McDonald's! If I lived over by it, I would literally eat here every day!!! I got fried catfish, the Cajun ranch fries and a small chicken salad. Good Lord I've NEVER had a salad THAT good before!!! And I'm 54 yo!! It has a ton of stuff in it!!! My husband got the same Cajun fried and a gyro that was amazing as well!!! I completely forgot to take pictures. But trust me, it's worth it! I can't believe they weren't more busy at 5 pm on a Saturday. We were the only ones dining in. “Loved the cheeseburger here. My husband got the cheeseburger topped with a fried egg and he said it was delicious. I had the regular cheeseburger which was perfect. Portion size was good. We had a side of fries that were hot, crispy and a generous portion.
We went at 2 pm and there was no waiting. My only complaint was it was outside eatting only and it was very warm even with the fans. Staff super friendly and they made recommendations that were appreciated. We will definitely be back.

“I ordered through Uber Eats and the food was hot and fresh but I was disappointed when I got regular fries instead of Mex fries. The staff was so pleasant when I called to inform them of the error. One of the managers asked for my address & personally drove my Mex fries to me. That was most definitely above & beyond customer service.“

“Stopped in on a slower Tuesday to try out. Met Theo and he took good care of me and my food. Wings were a little small, that ain't his fault but they were cooked perfect. Theo was 100% professional and you can tell this man can cook. Ask if he's there next time you order.“

“I typically don't review fast food places but I felt I needed to after visiting DQ in Gardendale today. We dropped in for a sweet treat only to be met with the sweetest manager too. She was very personable and so nice. It almost felt like she went out of her way, and unlike so many people on these type jobs, she appeared to really love her job and her customers.“
