“Punchlove is one of my most favorite Birmingham coffee shops! They have incredible coffee, pastries, and non-coffee drinks! I especially love the sarcastic, seasonal menu. They have a lot of unique flavors and menu items–– I'm a big fan of the Punchies–– as well as a plethora of dairy-free drink options.

Great atmosphere with beautiful plants, and the owner is super knowledgeable about coffee. However, I wouldn't recommend this spot if you're planning to do work or focus. They don't offer wi-fi and have a no laptop policy on the weekends.

“This is one of the hidden gems in town! Always fantastic food and I eat here at least twice a week. The service is outstanding and always friendly. Sue the hostess that works the door is amazing. “The burgers used to be way bigger I don’t know what’s going on wit that but the food is really good just the price of $10 for a almost normal sized burger is crazy I wish they went back like the old days when a bear burger really used to be a BEAR burger“

“My wife recently had an overnight procedure at UAB, so we looked up Cajun restaurants in the area and this was the closest to us. I’ve been to NOLA countless times over the years and I’m here to say, every morsel of food we ate at this place was hands down better than anything I’ve ever had in NOLA. I love spicy food and everything was seasoned to perfection. I honestly can’t say enough great things about this hidden gem. Super friendly staff, excellent food and great atmosphere. “Mariah went above and beyond to care of my wife and I. We were looking for a late night spot and found EXACTLY what we were looking for. The food was good and the beer was cold. She and Martrell made us feel right at home. (btw, they have impressive private parts!!)“

“My coworker and I were down in Hoover for work, and walked into Pub 261 one evening for a couple cocktails, both wearing North Dakota State apparel. The bar was packed, as it was Feb 8th, 2022 - the day #2 Auburn Basketball lost to Arkansas 76-80 in an OT thriller. Auburn fans welcomed us with open arms, and even paid for our drinks. The atmosphere was ELECTRIC while they streamed the game on the back wall of the bar. In that moment, we were die hard War Eagle. One of the toughest losses I've ever experienced. Recommend this bar to anyone.“
