“This place is phenomenal! I am a chef and restaurant owner myself and I was blown away. The simplicity and freshness of the dishes is commendable. Treating fresh local ingredients so well and not over complicating the plate is a rare thing. Most chefs try to show you how "cheffy" they are. Get the Carolina Gold Rice with the Blue Crab. It's the perfect dish. Fresh Crab, the rice is perfection and would make southern food enthusiasts like Sean Brock ask for seconds. We'll done!“
“Great service, our waiter Dylan was super. He made the meal and the experience to be a very enjoyable evening. For the price point, this was a good dining experience. The dining room setting is picturesque, with great views of the bay. Overall a good dining experience.“

Thanks, Bill-Es for finishing off a great father's day for me. You guys always do an amazing job. Our server, Ansley was a great server. This place is my favorite place to get away and enjoy great food and atmosphere.“

“We celebrated our father's 87th Birthday here! We had a table of 9 starting at 5:30, and we finished up at 7:30 pm. The service was excellent. and our male server was professional and attentive. The server offered to take pics with several phones. The food was delicious from the appetizers, main course of ribeye, filet, triple tail, scallops and chicken. We ordered all the desserts and shared. My Father loved the brownie with ice cream, and the cheesecake was a large portion. I would highly recommend for a special event!“

“We had a nice, romantic supper here last night. The food was phenomenal. We dined al fresco and the music was nice, and not too loud. We ordered Isle Dauphine oysters that were fantastic, as always. Our entrees consisted of the fresh catch dish, and a shrimp tagliatelle. Took home crème brûlée to-go and it tasted like perfection and was somehow still presented beautifully in the container. The only complaint I have is the mushroom “soup” was eaten with a fork—it was more like a hummus. But the flavor was on point! Thanks for a great evening.“

“My family and I love, love, love this quaint, charming grill in Fairhope, near Fish River. Their food is delicious, especially if you love southern comfort food. “EDIT from original post: We were served by the lovely!!!! Amy today and ONCE AGAIN Half Shell delivered excellent service and amazing food! So happy with my experience! They made sure my boyfriend’s birthday was wonderful! Shout out to Amy and Saber! We also went for my birthday last month and I didn’t catch her name, but our server then also rocked and was so kind!
Original: Saber is the best waitress EVER! Whenever my boyfriend wants to treat me to a nice dinner, I always choose Half Shell! The lovely hostess with the beautiful curly hair is always so polite and welcoming. They truly serve the best oysters I’ve ever had! I love how diverse the menu is, so when I bring a friend, I can pretty much guarantee they’ll find something they like. I attended a party in their private room during Christmas time, and it was probably the best Christmas party I’ve ever been to. Our waitress, Saber, took extra care to make sure we were well taken care of. She is so quick and attentive! She answered every question we had and was able to recommend things on the menu to try. We love having conversations with her. The last time we went, the awesome hostess with the gorgeous hair remembered me and seated my boyfriend and me in Saber’s section! We felt like celebrities. LOL.

“A lady named Charlene at your Spanish Fort location helped us with thanksgiving and Christmas dinner orders. We work on a tow boat and have a hard time coordinating the pick up of the order.. She and everyone we dealt with could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Thank you so much Charlene“

“I always get the Fancy Nancy scoop with grape salad. It was perfect as usual! The strawberry lemonade was delicious too!!
Parking: They really need a bigger place. Traffic is always an issue. The drive thru blocks all the parking out front. Don’t park there, you will get blocked in.“
