“My wife and I had an impromptu date night last night at Southwood. It had to be one of the top 5 meals I've ever had! Murder Point Oysters followed by the Tomato & Mozzarella salad, leading into the Scallops and Cobia topped with Jumbo Lump Crab for entrees. Mind-blowing flavors and expression in each dish with impeccable presentation, topped off with precision table service. I can't say enough good things about Southwood! ♥️😎“

“We came for lunch today and shared the pick 5 lunch special. The service was impeccable. Our server was very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. The sushi was excellent! The ingredients were exceptionally fresh and the rolls prepared very quickly. We get sushi only occasionally as a treat, but have tried a few places around town and what we received today was easily some of the best we’ve had! I also liked that the lunch special includes many of their chef special rolls. Most places don’t offer as many selections on their lunch specials so it was nice to have so many offerings. Perfect lunch!“

Great tasting fried catfish. Fries just so so, hush puppies were tasty
Restaurant itself is quite bright, almost sterile.
Has a fishy odor, but understandable as I would think the fish is very fresh being by the bay.

“This is the last in series of issues I’ve had in the last two years. Sure, the covid crisis and all that nonsense excuses quality going down and prices going up has ruined this once great place. I’ve tried calling and making complaint their website but they make everything difficult. Fix this place or shut it down“

“We sure enjoyed our Shrimp family dinner from Taziki’s last night. Everything was delicious and generous portions! Taziki’s is our go to for family gatherings. Their menu can accommodate the shrimp lovers plus the landlubbers. Win,win!“

“We stopped in today after a meeting at Lakewood Country Club. It was excellent! They have the BEST gluten free bread. I was able to enjoy a Muffuletta for the first time in ages. Excellent selections and the prices were very reasonable. If you are in or near Fairhope you must stop in. We drooled over the baked good case but did not cave.“

“We have been looking for a good Chinese buffet for a long time and just haven’t found one until now. The food was delicious, hot and lots to choose from. The crab Rangoon which is my favorite was actually crispy and hot not the typical soggy kind at most buffets. There was lots of sushi rolls to choose from and all were delicious. They also have a large dessert table and ice cream. The staff was super busy but still incredibly polite. Definitely coming back and I was already recommended the place to friends while I was still eating.

Vegetarian options: There was plenty of dishes that were vegetables but I’m not a vegetarian so I can’t say for sure if it would be your thing or not

Parking: We came at lunch hour they were super busy but we still found parking easy.

Kid-friendliness: They have pizza and chicken for kids who don’t like traditional Chinese food. They also have a huge dessert table any kid would love. There were lots of families while we were there with kids and they seemed to be enjoying it.“
