Parking: Tight parking lot that’s not the easiest to get to from the main roads.

The best customer service and they all wished him a speedy recovery. Caring people❤️ They even remembered me when I came back to get dinner for the family since it smelled so good!“

“This past Saturday, I treated myself to a me date a day dedicated entirely to myself. After indulging in a relaxing one-hour massage, I found myself absolutely starving. Wanting to try something new, I continued my exploration of Homewood’s restaurant scene and landed on The Battery. I met my aunt there for lunch, and as soon as we arrived, I knew we were in for a treat. The place was packed inside and out which is usually a great sign. After about a 15 minute wait, we were seated. The interior had a modern, inviting atmosphere, and the service was excellent. Our waiter was incredibly kind, answered all of my questions, and I never once had to ask for a refill. Despite the restaurant being full, the service was impressively quick, and every dish arrived hot. Appetizers Buffalo Wings – The wings were well-sauced and smoked to perfection, with the meat falling off the bone effortlessly. However, the biggest letdown was the lack of seasoning. While the smoky flavor was great, the wings themselves needed more depth. 7.9/10 (With proper seasoning, this would easily be in the high 8s or even a 9). Queso & Chips – The chips were fresh, crunchy, and unseasoned but still did the job. The queso had potential, but it lacked the bold flavors needed to truly stand out. It wasn’t bad, but it could have been much better. 6/10 Entrées & Sides Wedge Salad – The salad itself was solid, but the bacon was a miss. It had an overpowering liquid smoke taste, leaving a strange aftertaste and smell. 7/10 Fries – These were outstanding hot, crispy, and well-seasoned. I also appreciated the variety of cuts and shapes. 8.5/10 Smash Burger – A well-executed smash burger with that signature crispy edge and juicy interior. However, the meat itself wasn’t seasoned, which held it back from being exceptional. 8/10 Final Thoughts Overall, The Battery was a great experience, and I’d happily return. The biggest downside was the lack of seasoning across multiple dishes. If they improved that, their food would easily score even higher. That said, I still highly recommend trying this place. Final Rating: 8/10 Service: 10/10 – Absolutely fantastic staff! Would I go back? Without a doubt.“

“Pizza (white with sausage) and garlic bread were excellent. Would have preferred a true apple pie with pastry crust rather than the yummy apple filling served on pizza dough. Washing your hands is a bit inconvenient - walk outside the restaurant down the open air corridor, then into another building“

“My bestie and I visited here on our way to an event. I've been hooked ever since. I love the different healthy options available and that you can fully customize your experience. It would help to browse the menu before going so you don't hold up the line during busier times. I think in this day I opted for a veggie bowl. But I've also had the chicken grain and green bowl as well as the falafel and all were great. The pita chips are a must try! They are so addictive! I also love the free parking deck and the digital drive-through on those days when I just want to grab and go.“

“Went to 2 different locations before visiting Prive/Palace. You get entry to the restaurant for free and the club in back for $10. Security will check you before entering and parking spaces were nice.

The bartender was very nice and the people eating were also very nice. We ate wings, fries, catfish nuggets and had some drinks in between visits to the back club“

“Soooo one of my customer’s made me a plate from his restaurant today and I have to tell you….i have NEVER experienced Macaroni & Cheese like this. It was like a tangy-lemon-limey-feta-cheesy- dab of SHEER HEAVEN!!!! And the fresh Collard Greens? Oh. My. lord. THE BEST I have EVER had…EVER!!!! Better than my Grannie’s, god rest her soul. “First time to try this place. I can't believe the wide array of food they serve. It comes to you hot, fresh and delicious!!! I had gotten a Groupon that I'm very thankful for!!! We spent less money here than we would at Taco Bell or McDonald's! If I lived over by it, I would literally eat here every day!!! I got fried catfish, the Cajun ranch fries and a small chicken salad. Good Lord I've NEVER had a salad THAT good before!!! And I'm 54 yo!! It has a ton of stuff in it!!! My husband got the same Cajun fried and a gyro that was amazing as well!!! I completely forgot to take pictures. But trust me, it's worth it! I can't believe they weren't more busy at 5 pm on a Saturday. We were the only ones dining in. “Edgar's Bakery is a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The amazing people that work at this location make you feel like you're at home when you walk in the restaurant. They are known for their cakes being amazing but their food is absolutely delicious! Treat yourself to some amazing food and a delicious cupcake or some other sweet treat!“

“Food is good when it's made right. I get the same thing every time, but it's never made the same. I picked up a Newks Q pizza just now that I ordered with no jalapeños. I did check it before I left, and it appeared fine. But whoever made it took it upon them selves to make the pizza with no sauce or chili either. I know what the sauce looks like. That pizza was dry AF. Super disappointing when you pay almost $20 for one pizza with a tip.“

“The food is usually good here. The breadsticks were on the well-done side and they were hard, but the waiter replaced them immediately when asked. The waiter that we had would not clear the table as we were finishing our dishes so we had a lot of glasses and plates on our table that took up unnecessary space.

We sat in a booth and we asked that they turned the lighting up, but they said they weren’t able to so I would recommend that they increase the lightbulb voltage over the booths. The lighting is too dark and needs to be improved“

“I dined in and honestly thought of my future review on here as I did so I did a little extra "digging in" to things I might not normally have noticed just in the area I could see while dining. The light fixtures, chairs, tables, floor were all clean, and no noted light bulbs were needing replaced. No noted dust on the light fixtures. The vent return cover (think that's what its called) was very minimally dusty.
The food was great and the portion sizing seemed generous to me. I ate alone following an out of town appointment. Now that I have found this place, it's hard for me try another since finding it at my last appointment. I work in healthcare, so I suppose I notice infection control practices in restaurants a little more than I wish I did for my sanity. I have never observed an issue here. In case you have never been here, you order at the register, but they bring you food and then they clean the tables after you are finished. (You don't have to dump trays or anything). You don't really have table service though, unless you realize you need something else at that initial food drop off time. Polite staff, but I did feel a little hurried to make my decision on ordering, although there wasn't a line. I paid a little more for lunch there than I could do on the daily, I received back just loose change from $19 for just me.
The atmosphere is pleasant and calming. I was just behind a fairly large group of apparent local exterminators (according to their labels on their clotging) and I was impressed that I didn't heart 1 single grumbling regarding anything with their order out of a fairly large group for barely lunchtime.“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️ I ordered delivery from La Paz last night and was excited to try their street corn and shrimp street tacos. The food arrived fresh and tasted delicious. Well, at least after I discovered I am one of those unlucky people who think cilantro tastes like soap. Once I picked it off, everything was great. Unfortunately, I woke up this morning with food poisoning symptoms. While I cannot say for sure that it was from this meal, it was the only thing I ate that evening. The flavors were on point, but this experience has made me hesitant to order again. Hoping it was just a one time issue because I really did enjoy the food!“

“Why on earth does it take 45min to get your food when the place is drive thru only? That is absurd? You can literally get a live chicken, kill it, pluck it, clean it, cut and batter the thing, then cook it and eat it in less time than to go they y’all’s drive thru....
