“We go to the Zelda Road First Watch as often as possible, and yesterday was one of the days. The food, staff, and management are all exceptional. May have to wait a bit before being seated, but oh, so worth it! Just bring one to Prattville so we can frequent more than once a week.“

From the jump, the hospitality was unmatched. We arrived late, and instead of being rushed or turned away, Mr. Gregg welcomed us in, took his time, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a real experience. That alone speaks volumes.
The food? Outstanding. The salmon croquettes were the star of the show—perfectly done, full of flavor, and worth every bit of the hype. Portions were generous, and everything tasted like it was made with care, not convenience.
What really separates this place is the people. Mr. Gregg didn’t just serve food—he shared stories, history, and genuine conversation. You could feel the pride and legacy in the walls, the photos, and the way guests are treated.
If you’re on the fence, don’t be. Late arrival, early arrival—it doesn’t matter. You’ll be welcomed, well-fed, and remembered. This is how it’s supposed to be.“

“I love this Wafflehouse! We pass 2 others to get to this one. I don't know names but, the singing lady head cook runs the show!! They are always quick, courteous and professional! Shot out to Jake today!! A young guy with excellent customer service that is rare these days. All are hard workers.“

“This was wonderful…the food, the service, the friendly people…I just can’t say enough about how much we loved this restaurant. Well we ate 3 of our 6 meals here. We would have eaten more but we ate two of our 6 at the Riverwalk Stadium during baseball games and another before we found the place. Love your Cafe! Oh and also the best sweet tea of my 61 years!“
“We had a fantastic experience at First Watch in Prattville. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. You can really tell they focus on quality ingredients and thoughtful menu options.
The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the whole place had a clean, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the kind of spot where you can relax and enjoy a great breakfast or brunch without feeling rushed.
If you’re in the Prattville area and looking for a solid breakfast or brunch place, this location is definitely worth the visit. We’ll absolutely be coming back.“

“I live out of state, and every time we come to Montgomery our first stop from the airport and last stop before we leave is BARBARA GAIL'S!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!! The shrimp & grits are a must !! They now except credit and debit. And as an added bonus, the street they are located on is part of the historic route from The March From Selma. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. , Rev. Jesse Jackson, and civil rights leader John Lewis were among the leaders who participated in the march.“

“Great food and a great atmosphere! The food is always hot, fresh, and well-seasoned. I also love the thought that goes into the different themes. The Grinch kids’ menu was such a nice touch, and the Peppermint Hot Cocoa was delicious and comforting.“

“We had Nicole for our server - she’s also the manager and she was amazing. Friendly and polite, and patient and helpful. The first person who seated us and took our drink order was none of those things and cut my friend off in mid sentence. We were so glad when she said our server would be with us shortly. What a pleasant surprise after that to get someone who was so great! I know times are hard and restaurants and tempers are short. Such a good experience!“

“PLENTY OF PARKING WHEN I ARRIVED. I WAS SEATED IMMEDIATELY WHEN I WALKED IN. DEVON SEATED ME. HE WAS VERY NICE. LOVE WAS MY WAITRESS, VERY NICE AND PLEASURE YOUNG LADY. HER CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS EXCEPTIONAL. HUNTER,THE COOK, COOKED MY FOOD TO PERFECTION. I WANTED MORE BUT WAS FULL. I HAVEN'T BEEN TO THIS LOCATION IN YEARS BECAUSE OF THE AWFUL SERVICE AND FOOD. BUT THIS VISIT RENINDED ME OF HOW I USE TO LOVE I HOPE. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK TO THE PRATTVILLE, AL LOCATION. GOOD JOB!!!“

“Had a great experience at Waffle House thanks to our server, Maya. She was super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out exactly right. The food was hot, fresh, and classic Waffle House perfection, but Maya’s service really made the visit stand out. She kept our drinks full, checked in at the right times, and had such a positive attitude. If you stop by, hope you get Maya as your server — she definitely made our night better. Will be back for sure!“
