“Sommers Place is my favorite place to eat be it lunch or dinner. The staff there very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and always taste the same. Ice tea is also good. I took my brother and dad there and they love it also. I give them a 5.“

“Surprisingly above expectations!
We were hungry and driving by so just stopped in for a snack. You order at the counter and they bring food to your table, so service was pretty good. Get your own soda and clean up after yourself at the end.
We tried two of their specials. $6 each for samplers of fish, chicken and shrimp. Both samplers also came with fries and hush puppies.
All the food was clearly freshly cooked and hot. The sides were fine, and better than expected. The mains were all very good. Best of all, was the chicken tender. Actually delicious. A real contender against all the fried chicken places around.
A nitpicky knock goes to the tartar sauce, which was bland and basically just mayo.“

“HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Our first visit for the Derby Watch party and I must say WHAT A HIDDEN GEM you have!! Beautiful restaurant and friendly staff. The Hors d oeuvres were wonderful. The guest were all dressed for the derby and very friendly. We will be back for dinner soon!!“

“Insulted me when I was walking away quietly without placing the order and without drama after being denied a military discount which I get there always on several occasions I have been there.
Was told never to come back there again when I told him I had a planned budget to be within. Forget the military discount, if this is how you treat common folks who can’t afford the food, I pity you and you should be ashamed of yourself.
Cc- Copy of complaint to corporate not for denying the military discount but for being horribly nasty and rude. I may not have money today but I can have money tomorrow, but it doesn’t give you the license to be rude and miserably nasty to just anybody for not placing an order. I pity the upbringing of your employees and the brand image this treatment creates of you.

“I wanted to recognize the manager Loyd on duty during our recent visit. While the restaurant was short-staffed, he handled everything with professionalism, patience, and a great attitude. He stepped in where needed and ensured guests were still well taken care of. As someone visiting from out of town, this left a lasting positive impression on my husband and myself.“

“There was no one in the restaurant, (7 People in a restaurant) we waited 40 minutes to sit down. A long wait for bread and appetizer (30 minutes) They were out of crabs and Patron at 5 pm. The waiter was nice, we tipped well.“
