“This place is a hidden gem in Pleasant Grove. 15-20 minutes from Birmingham and with the drive. The owner is so friendly and welcoming. The food is very fresh and delicious, you can tell there's a lot of love put into it. There are American choices for the less adventurous eaters and children's menu, also vegetarian options! My personal favorites are the falafel plate, Greek salad, tahini sauce, hummus and baklava. All homemade! Go try it, you won't be disappointed!”

I remember a couple years ago my siblings forgot what flavor snow cone I wanted so they got me frog in a blender now I get it every time who knew forgetfulness could be delicious. It's not just the snow cones it's also the food. Their pretzels, funnel cakes, and nachos are the only food I've had from there but I loved all of them. I always ask my mom if we can get sno daze after school. The only problem is it takes kinda long sometimes but personally I say it's worth the wait. Yummyyyyy”

“This is a response to Mr. Hh H post and to clear up the false claim made by him. Due to our Google business account still getting verified, we were not able to respond through that account. Will start off by saying it is not in our character to respond to the reviews because people are free to express their thoughts and opinions, but a claim like the one Mr. Hh H has made is one we can not ignore. Since it is one that can truly hurt a restaurant especially a small one like ours. In his post he said that a box of Menudo(tripe) was dropped on the ground picked up thrown into a bin taken inside to wash and sell to our customers. Then goes as far to post misleading photos of the situation. On one of the photos, it shows a gentleman sweeping the ground. Yes, he is sweeping the ground because the box of Menudo was dropped on the ground we had to pick it up. We can’t just leave food rotting on the ground, and we threw it into a bin because we had to bag it up before we toss it into the dumpster. On another photo, it shows a bin with menudo(tripe)in it. Apparently people can’t have more than one of the same items. We kept telling him that was a different batch of menudo(tripe) since we do not just order one box we order multiple batches and as well have more than one of the same bins. On a third photo, it shows the crew around the sink washing menudo(Tripe) for those who are unfamiliar with how to prep Menudo, it must be washed before we can even cook it or else it will come out with a bad odor and that was a different batch that they were working on not the one that was dropped on the ground. We tried to explain to him what was going on, we could have even showed him the trashed menudo(Tripe), but he refused to listen and just kept making threats about calling the health department which he is more than welcome to do so since we have absolutely nothing to hide and are positive we have done nothing wrong.Taqueria La Herradura has never nor would they ever serve food to the customers that has touched ground. Along with this post, I have attached a video and photo proof of the menudo that was dropped on the ground and that it was disposed of and how we still have another fresh batch as well as the multiple bins.”

“I ordered a 75 piece wing because I didn’t wanna cook. BEST DECISION IVE MADE FOR FOOD. I got plain, lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan. They all were amazing but that garlic Parmesan was CHEFS KISS. The service was amazing! My food was ready at pickup and was still hot when I got home. The ranch?? BUSSIN. The magnitude of the ranch? IMMACULATE. THANK YOU!! Keep on serving!”

“Menu variety, staff service. We stopped by on our way to Tuscaloosa and we’re delighted by the helpfulness of the owner, the food quality, and the wide array of choices. The interior is pleasant and warm, and if we hadn’t been on the road I could see having a lovely book club meeting or a quick lunch for 2 here. Great ambiance, great service. Also such a unique and local food option vs rushing through a fast food drive-thru. We have family in the area and will absolutely be returning!”

“I ordered to of the #6 specials which was burgers, my two loved it. The burgers was homemade and nice size. It was worth it. I ordered a sampler for myself which was 2 ribs with bone, chopped BBQ, and 1/4 chicken which was the breast and wing, with Mac n cheese, and Baked beans.
Now my ribs was kinda on the dry side, the chopped BBQ was about the same, so I skipped out on trying the chicken. The Mac n cheese was a disappointment, just broke my little heart!. The bake beans was ok.
I can't say I won't visit anymore, but I will not be going out my way to go there.”

It was like a tangy-lemon-limey-feta-cheesy- dab of SHEER HEAVEN!!!! And the fresh Collard Greens? Oh. My. lord. THE BEST I have EVER had…EVER!!!! Better than my Grannie’s, god rest her soul. The Chicken was divine and I saw that they also barbeque Lamb Chops. I’ll try those next time. Everyone there are some of the kindest folks you will ever meet. Don’t feel like eating in? Go through the drive-thru and get a quart of that Mac-n-cheese and collards. I can’t even begin to describe how delicious they are. For real!!!! They Cater too!!! Divine!!!!”
