“We ate here before the A day game this past weekend and it was, hands down, one of the very best meals we have had in a long time. Home cookin at its finest - served up by some of the nicest people you could meet. Rare to find fantastic food AND service these days - this place has both. If we lived nearby, we would be regulars. It will be a "have to" stop anytime we are coming through T-Town.“

There’s just something extra about the breading that had me eating ALL my shrimp and not sharing with my husband! 🤣 Highly recommend checking it out!“

“City Cafe has been our favorite little place for over 30 yrs. This cafe is an absolute gem! Sweet tea and dumplings are excellent! Breakfast and lunch here is incredibly delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends. “Was working in Tuscaloosa and a restaurant with a two hour wait recommended the River. We had the steak filet and the seared tuna. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding and the whole experience was just classy and comfortable. Brussel sprouts were on special for an appetizer, they were the best we’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“This place always blows it out of the water on food quality, service and cleanliness. As I sat there eating, I watched a worker go around cleaning tables and offering to take people's trash for them. The trays did not stay in the garbage area more than a few minutes before an employee collected them. The food was phenomenal as always. This is one of my absolute favorite quick meal options in Tuscaloosa.“

“We visit at least once or twice a month usually on a Wednesday the food and drinks are always delicious 😋 And never had a problem with the service and we’ve been visiting since they were on the corner downtown, but this past Wednesday November 18, 2020 our server was horrible she had the nastiest attitude and demeanor. First thought was because we African American but we soon realized that wasn’t it she treated two other tables with the same curtness and attitude. Hopefully next visit will be better“

“The Tuscaloosa Skyland franchise is very well run. I tried to order online on my app, but for some reason kept getting an error message. I called the manager took my order and even gave me the20% discount I would have received for ordering online.
When I got there I was greeted by the manager and she was just finishing up my order. It was hot and ready to go. Thanks for the great service and good food as usual“
