The chicken was fried to a golden brown and had a good crunch. I was surprised to find that the batter is more flavorful than Raising Cane's. The counter staff and cook Ree were very courteous and more than happy to converse about the restaurant. When possible I will return to this Guthrie's!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at main entrance.
Clearly a direct competitor with Raising Caine’s, the similarities between the two are strong. Where Caine’s gets it wrong and Guthrie’s excels is in the execution of the central item - the chicken …sort of a big deal! Where Caine’s tends to cook their chicken BARELY to temperature, leaving it too wet and slimy, the chicken here was at that perfect state where the fat is properly rendered but the meat is not dried out. Drive through is very slow even if you're the only car, you'll be waiting 20 mins at the very least no matter what you order. Employees are more worried about their phones and hanging out than they are customer service.
