“Superb quality Mexican food. We have enjoyed all the entrees we have tried in our multiple visits since moving to the area only about 3 months ago. Quantity is typically more than we can eat. Side dishes compliment the entrees very well and are also very tasty. Service was excellent and tended to our needs quite well. They had plenty of staff to serve a very busy restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant, bordering on festive. We felt like we were experiencing a bit of old Mexico in this place. It is our "go to" Mexican restaurant in our area (and there are many to choose from).“
“The food was good and our server was great. I would have given 5 stars had the staff not seemed a little too eager to leave. Granted, we did go with just over an hour before closing time.A couple of things would have made the visit one worth 5 stars. First, don’t multiple people sweeping the floors in such a way that you have to walk around them to get to and from your table. This went on pretty much the whole hour we were there. More importantly, don’t close the only bathrooms in the restaurant 30 minutes before closing time so you can mop the floors.I hope this was just a case of a new restaurant working out the kinks and that they can be more hospitable. Again, everything we ordered came out in a timely manner. The food was very good, and our waitress did an excellent job.“

“Around the south, you’re going to see plenty of Huddle Houses and Waffle Houses. Personally, I prefer Huddle Houses as they generally are cleaner and have better quality food. This one in Owens Crossroads checks all the boxes as far as good comfort food, atmosphere, and service. Because of the area, most of the customers are local so you’re going to get that hometown experience. If you’re looking for a sit down meal that’s relatively quick, then give this place a try. It’s definitely a good alternative to a typical fast food meal. I had the smokehouse breakfast. Grits with butter and with pieces of patty sausage mixed in was my highlight of the breakfast.“

“Absolutely fantastic!!! BEST gluten free bun I’ve ever had!!! Buttered and grilled it and it made all the difference. I had a cheeseburger and my husband had the smokehouse burger. Both were great. Hot crispy fries with several fry salts to choose from. Love the topping bar for the burgers. Seating is limited but it was fine for us.“

“I am absolutely begging you not to discontinue the Pot Roast. It's literally the best I've ever had. And to be honest, I don't eat wings or most other items at your restaurant. But my family loves to eat there. If you discontinue the pot roast, I won't have any options to order, so unfortunately we will stop eating there. “In Alabama on business, and on our way back south from Huntsville, we discovered Galen's. Since its my name, just had to stop by. Very friendly southern family hole in the wall (and I don't mean this in a bad way at all). Food was good and the staff was great.“
“They have the best breakfast in town. My husband and I go there to eat when we both have a day off together. We also take other family members with us. The entire family loves the breakfast menu. The sweet beginnings is the best on the breakfast menu.“

“I’ve eaten here more than any other place in Huntsville because it’s the only restaurant that consistently, without fail, delivers a level of quality that matches or exceeds what I’m able to make at home. I have never had a bad experience with the staff, but Stephen S did an exceptional job today. My go-to is normally the hash brown Benedict’s, but on a cut I like that they have leaner options which I tried today but forgot the name of. “The drinks were amazing. I would go there just for drinks alone! The selection was amazing. I loved their bourbon fig. The "regular" martini was anything but regular. The taste of juniper was incredible. The drinks were the best.We tried three appetizers: the grilled salad, the chacueterie board, and the truffle tagliatelle. All were delicious.For our meals we had the duck, 14 Oz ribeye, and the burger. The duck was the best I have had.For dessert, we tried the house-made ice cream, lemon tiramasu, and the chocolate caramel crunch cake along with their coffee and cappacino. “My mom and I had lunch there today! Everything was perfect! The service was great, the food was great. The catfish was cooked perfect, the chicken and dumplings were great. “Love the rotating menu and friendly staff. I’ve been 4-5 times and always tried something new. It’s fun to learn about cuisine I’ve never tried as well as try Christina’s twists. Everything has been great and I love that they use a lot of fresh ingredients and cook from scratch.“
“Delicious food. Cold beer. Great prices. I crave their food and have to get takeout sometimes. I cannot go on enough about how good the food is! This is real deli sandwiches hot or cold as well as many other options. I would definitely suggest the turkey Reuben. The service is fantastic. They have awesome sizes of beer and great prices! This is not a craft beer place. Do not expect to have a large selection of craft beer on draft. I come here for lunch on Saturdays mostly. But I do occasionally find myself there late night, and it is still one of my favorite bars in Huntsville. There is obviously smoking inside, and that’s the biggest downfall for me. If you don’t want to be around cigarette smoke, you are fine going during the day for lunch. It is more smoky if you go later at night.“

Not only was she friendly and funny she went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience.
