“We are from out of town and were looking for dinner. I checked out the menu online and liked the choices I saw. We were unsure as we had our kids with us though. We decided to stop in and met with staff who told us that “well-behaved” children are welcomed which is definitely not our children. 😘 But we decided to risk it and the kids behaved and had a blast! This was partially due to a kid friendly menu (my youngest loved the cheezits) and the delicious assortment of cakes offered at dessert. The main reason they had a great time and were well-behaved is the server, Antonio. He was engaging, friendly and helpful. My husband loved the whiskey and bourbon choices (there are three pages of options on the menu)! The pork tacos were to die for and the cornbread is mouthwatering. The kids enjoyed the chocolate cake with cookie dough layers and my teenager and husband enjoyed the carrot cake. My youngest wants to give ten stars but Facebook won’t allow it. We wish we lived in the area so we can come back. When we go to Space Camp we’ll have to stop back.“

“We've been to Cooper's Hawk at Clift Farms three times. If I were reviewing based on our first visit, it would be an easy five out of five stars. Food has been excellent every time. The first visit, service was among the best we've had anywhere in Huntsville or Madison.

I wish I'd gotten our server's name that time so we could've asked for him again, because our next two visits, including the one tonight, were utterly abysmal in the service department. We had been in our booth for a solid 30 minutes and during that time had only one visit from our server to get an initial wine order. I had to go ask a different server if he could go get our server so we could get our wine. He wound up bringing them to us himself. If he's our server next time (and there not be a next time), I'll absolutely ask for a different server. He was nice, but almost totally absent. The server for the table next to ours checked on their table literally 10 times compared to the one time our server had visited our table.

Anyway... That overshadowed the food, which was excellent. I got the red wine short rib and my wife got the skirt steak salad. My short rib was tender and tasted phenomenal. Mashed potatoes were also excellent. Green beans, too.

My wife loved her salad and skirt steak, and the couple we came with spoke highly of the shrimp and scallop risotto as well as the filet.

I teetered between three and four stars for this rating, but if you read the above, you can decide for yourself.“

“It’s been since 2014 since Ive been to a Steak-Out. This is a solid spot for steak and potato! Steak tips were seasoned well. Sweet potato was good. No complaints. Great service as well. Health score 97 which is always a plus. $20 not bad price either for everything I got. Order: steak tips 6 oz, sweet potato, side salad, yeast role, bottled water.
