“This is one of the best hot chicken restaurants in Birmingham.There are many students and many families. The taste is ok, but the parking lot and store are spacious, and you can choose spicy chicken, so I go often.I recommend hot for spiciness. It is spicy enough to satisfy most Koreans. Please note that it is a bit dangerous starting from damn hot.“

“We'll start with the food... I had the 2 catfish fillets with fries and Mac and cheese and added 3 whole, lemon pepper wings. The catfish was fried great and the batter was on point. Not a ton of seasoning but I dipped it in their comeback sauce and it was a good compliment. The chicken was my favorite! The skin was super crispy and it was seasoned well! The Mac and cheese tasted homemade, it gets an 8/10 and there was nothing special about the fries. My wife had the tenders which had a sweet taste to them and they were phenomenal. They would pair well with the waffles which were also good and prepared perfectly, very light and fluffy. The establishment isn't bad. A little tight so not idea for big crowds. They were out of drink selections and we were never updated about our order. I did realize they make everything fresh but just kindly letting us know they are still working on it would have been nice. It was 7 of us and my total came to $127, but the portions were good so I'm ok with the price. I would give a 5 if the fries were seasoned, Mac and cheese had a bit more seasoning, fish was seasoned a bit more and the establishment was a bit more inviting. Maybe offering some "out-of-the- box" selections since everything is made to order. We'll definitely go back if we visit Birmingham! ??“
“Honey mustard sauce was great. Prices were reasonable. Glazed waffles weren’t too sweet but definitely didn’t need any more maple syrup for my taste. Maybe provide 2 honey mustard sauces instead of just 1 and remove one of the maple syrup packets.“
“I live about an hour away from the Birmingham Alabama location and I could drive there every single day and get some food as it is some of the best food I've ever eaten! I don't know if anyone will read this but my only piece of advice would be to put one in Jacksonville Alabama near JSU. I think business would boom!!“
“We eat at Guthrie's any chance we get! Had an appt in B'ham so took advantage and ate at the Guthrie's on Hwy 280. It's always good - but it was perfect this day. Nothing could have made it any better. The chicken was tender and juicy on the inside with a perfect thin crispy coating on the outside! Same for the fries - and seasoned perfectly! The toasted bread as well - not too brown, but a little 'crunch' to the bite! The slaw was delicious as always. The entire meal was excellent. Please pass this on to your 'crew.' Oh, I had eaten at a burger chain a few days earlier and spent just about the same and there was NO COMPARISON! This place does NOT even have a warmer. Your food is always going to be FRESH and reasonably priced!“
“Was a bit disappointed in the usually fast drive thru experience. The car in front of me was at the window for 10+ minutes. The runner brought my order, but I could not exit because they did not have that car pull up to await their delayed order. There was a line behind me. By the time I was able to exit the restaurant, my food was cold, and my shake was melted.“

“My brother somehow wound up going to this place with some friends and family after a graduation and afterwards he wouldn't stop gushing about the place, especially their fish (which I've yet to try). Everyone else said the place was good and the people were nice so I was excited to try them myself.I've eaten food from here three times and each time has not disappointed. I wait until I get home to eat and the food is always good and warm. Today I had the burger and the patty was so hot it steamed the veggies a bit on the way home. If that bothers you maybe ask for them to be separate? Anywho, it didn't bother me in the slightest and was delicious.Sis had beef nachos, she says they were delicious. Brother had a Philly cheese sandwich that he devoured before we even left the parking lot (good grief where does he put it???). I got pictures of neither but they both looked good!As for drinks, they sell canned drinks and I actually didn't know they had cup drinks until today. I dropped my cup in the car so I can't comment much else on that ?.Next time I'll try something different!Also, please note that in my pictures I didn't remember to take photos for a review until after I had already started eating or messed with my food.
