Walked in for lunch, left with a new appreciation for life, three new cousins, and a man named Rick trying to get me to join his softball team. The burger? Life-changing. The atmosphere? Like a family reunion where nobody’s fighting. The bar? It's like your living room if your living room cooler vibes, colder drinks, and a waitress who remembers your name and your ex’s. There’s a man at the corner stool who may or may not be the mayor of a neighboring town (unconfirmed). Somebody ordered a fish sandwich and started crying. At one point, someone behind the counter just yelled “roll tide” and we all clapped like it was the national anthem. If you haven't been here yet, go. If you've already been, go again. “Just ate at The White House Restaurant in Warrior, Alabama AGAIN! The food is always delicious! Today we had the seafood special that they have on Saturdays and it was awesome. My husband and I had flounder, shrimp, stuffed crab, hush puppies, coleslaw, and a baked potato. Wow! Scrumptious meal and so much of it that I’m stuffed. Maria was our server this evening and even though the restaurant was packed and super busy she kept a smile on her face while taking care of us and everyone around us. We were super pleased with the service and the food!“

“Depending on what you're ordering and what time you order it, it can be great. At 7:00 p.m., I ordered the dinner special -two piece chicken. Unfortunately for me, one piece of my chicken was so dry, I couldn't eat it. The other piece was so greasy, I could barely eat it. I ordered an apple pie and I got a strawberry cream cheese pie that had apparently been sitting there all day. My mashed potatoes without gravy and my green beans were fine. To say that I'm disappointed would be an understatement. I didn't really have the energy to take it back. I think my dog will be happy with the chicken that I couldn't eat. I think what time it is really does matter what time you order because I got the same order a few days ago early in the day and it was perfection. Lesson learned I guess. it's just the dinner special doesn't start till 7:00, so they had only been running it for an hour. the food was like it had been there all day. So disappointed. Won't be back for a while!“
