“Excellent food!!! The beans they offered as a side were out of this world good. The carne asada street tacos were so perfectly prepared. Our server was super friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. You can’t beat complimentary homemade chips and salsa either. 10/10 would recommend!!!“
“I was in a rush, running late and hungry. I needed to grab something to eat before an appointment but I was several minutes away from another store or restaurant. I passed a gas station and planned to grab a protein shake to keep me full until I could eat, when I noticed this little trailer in the parking lot. I didn’t know what to ask for, and without a picture menu, I didn’t know what to order. I asked the guy for something easy to eat, with steak, that wasn’t spicy…he was so sweet and helpful. We had a slight language barrier, but he understood me very well. He gave me 2 street tacos with steak. They were so good and almost too beautifully put together to eat! LoL they were wrapped with a lime slice and green sauce and topped with generous portions of cilantro (sooo good). I would def recommend them, and will definitely try them again! I wish I had tried their drinks, they sounded and looked really good. I went in the store for a sweet tea and when I came out, my meal was ready.“
“Love this restaurant, The food is great here, my only complaint is that everything needs more salt! May be good for some but it absolutely made the guacamole sub par IMO.As far as staff goes, Briana is the absolutely BEST, wouldn’t want any other Bartender/Server to take care of me!!“
“Fantastic place!! Carnitas were amazing!!Salsa is tasty and the chips light and crispy. The staff were super friendly too.Just passing through but if we lived here we’d be regulars♥️?♥️?Dietary restrictions: No dairy was easy for them to do.“
“We had a group of 14 and were sat immediately on a Friday night at about 7pm. This place is huge and accommodating! Our waiter was amazing. I am sure he had other tables but we would never had known. I wish I got his name. Our drinks were delivered quickly and never ran low. Chips and salsa were refilled without asking and by the way, the salsa was top 3 salsas I have ever had. Great flavor and just enough heat to let you now it was there but not over powering. The food came out quickly and for the most part all at the same time. No one had to wait very long. Food was packed with flavor and I didn't hear one person say they didn't enjoy it.Zapata's was suggested to us by our hotel and we were not disappointed.“
“Officially the best Valentine's dinner ever! Food that tastes better than it looks & its beautiful! Eaten here multiple times and everything is always great. Friendliest, most attentive service- everyone's always happy. If you're really lucky a sweetheart little girl might hug you as you come in the door.“
“We came here right before closing and Miss Mary has to be the ABSOLUTE best person to have on staff as a closer. She had the most pleasant personality even after closing. I will definitely be back with my family. She makes a memorable impression.“
“Mannn this place is amazing!! The food is spot on for perfection. By the size of it you’d probably think otherwise but nothing beats a hole in the wall. They were super busy in house and with to go but the young lady was holding it all together greatly. I would suggest going early or getting to go if you don’t like small spaces lol. The birria tacos were amazing as we’ll as the Chilaquiles was the absolute best I’ve ever had and honestly I’d drive just to get that! Portion size was very nice, come hungry or you’ll be getting a to go box. Overall, definitely a must try!!!“
“I had a sweet tea and a pork chimichanga. Service was great, the chimichanga had a nice crisp to the tortilla. House chips were warm and fresh, salsa had me reaching for the tea which was also good. Sweet but not overly and it didn't have that tap water flavor. Price was about $20“
“We stumbled upon this place online when stopping in Texarkana. I have given 5 stars to other Mexican restaurants because I didn’t realize it could be this good. The food simply put was fantastic. It’s hidden away in a small strip mall but is an absolute gem of a restaurant. We got to speak to the couple that runs the place after we ate and they stressed how d everything was fresh and it showed. This place knocked other places down to 3 stars in comparison. The owners were fantastic and friendly people. I wish you all were in North Carolina. I can say that since we travel a lot, we will be back!“
“I think Lokal Lunas has a nice atmosphere. This is the one close to Morris Lane in the Pleasant Grove area. The first time that we went we really didn’t get checked on but today we have a waitress that was excellent. She came back so many times she worked at floor I didn’t get to taste any food today. I was only drinking alcohol. I had a peach mango margarita this time and for the sampler it was $15.99 I had everything on that plate so the prices is great for me, I love the drinks you know it didn’t give me too tipsy. We only had one we shared it with a big glass so if you know for wanna go in last year and have a nice drink and a platter, I’ll take yourself about 3035 bucks that would be good. You could take your children there it’s clean the restrooms are clean and I think everybody is friendly so thanks Luna for a nice pleasant outing.Vegetarian options: They have beings they have rice they have soups. All you have to do is tell them and they’ll get it together for you.Parking: It was like a strength, so I really just can’t be for sure about how much parking wasKid-friendliness: Very nice atmosphere for the kids. It’s nothing for them to play on but this is a nice sit down atmosphere, and you could just chill.Wheelchair accessibility: The door is wide enough for someone with any kind of mobile accessory to come in to my personal opinion“
“Make no mistake...this is not a nice place. This place is a dive, an old building in a bad part of town. They are only open Saturday and Sunday, and it's crowded for as long as they are open. Their food is hands down the best Mexican food you can eat ANYWHERE! Big servings, low prices, and friendly service makes up for any shortcomings of the location. This place is AMAZING!“
“This place was exemplary from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Truly dislike having passed it by for more than 4 years. My sister kept recommending it and she was right. My husband and I went there to celebrate our 1st yr “dating” anniversary. This was by far the BEST dining experience we’ve had in a long time. Our waiter, the young Mr Kaiden was by far the best server we’ve encountered in over 3 years…Our drinks, appetizers and entrees were promptly bought to us —- NO extensive waiting, NO cold food, NO watered down margaritas here!! When I say “YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE” you definitely need to try this place…The sampler platter was actually sufficient enough for the both of us. We did purchase a taco/enchilada combo dinner and chimichanga meal.“
“First time here. Cute little restaurant. Very clean looking. I ordered the tamale plate with rice and beans. Comes with your choice of topping, chilli or two types of queso. I got mine with the chili. It was good. Service was fast and friendly. I would go back.“
“Do you like cheese? They do not hold back the cheese! I recommend the blanco queso with your chips! We had a table of 5 adults with 1 person being in a wheelchair. We had great service! It was Palm Sunday after church. THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR DINNER DELICIOUS AND DELIGHTFUL.“

“This place is great! Love the chips and salsa. Salsa tasted like canned tomatoes but that's ok when it's not tomato season. Chips were nice and crispy. Chimichanga was delicious. Service was great! We were happy to find this place!“
“The best traditional Mexican restaurant I've tried in Texarkana. Don't be fooled by the fact that it is in the mall. Food is always hot and fresh, sauce is always flavorful and spicy, horchatas are super tasty, and the street tacos are incredible and addicting. They never mess up an order for me either. Even if I put special instructions they follow them perfectly. Thank you for making such delicious food to be a part of my life Los Ruvalcaba 2. I will 100% eat here again again and I recommend you people reading this do too. :)“
“First visit here. The employees were nice and very responsive during my entire visit.Chips and salsa was very good. Chips very light and perfectly crunchy and salsa was tasty.I ordered the chili relleno with chicken and the only problem I had with it is that there was practically no pepper at all.The relleno was so small that it was non existent.Other then that, everything was great and I'd return in the future!Thank you“
“Not nearly as good as it was in Magnolia, Arkansas when we ate there in the 80's. I always loved a sancho and a tray smothered with cheese but the meat was not the same and it seemed like it was not really real hamburger meat. I was disappointed in that. The enchiladas weren't as good either. The service was great the food just isn't up to par so I probably won't be going back.“
“I loved this On The Border a lot more compared to other ones. It had an amazing staff, better quality dishes, and a nice environment. I would recommend this one compared to others.Kid-friendliness: The staff was super nice to the kids at this one. They may have been somewhat clumsy sometimes, but the kids loved it.“
“Laid back atmosphere. Due to changes we had to use cash this time. Hopefully it is fixed. The food is like west coast Mexican food. I am loving this place. Servings are proportional to prices. I recommend going there when I am not there only because I do not care for lines (hahaha).I am able to practice my spanish without criticism...feels great.“
