“First time visiting...DEFINITELY going to become a regular stop when in Gilbert (They mentioned they are opening a location in Chandler!). Truly a taste of home -authentic Middle Eastern flavors - ELEVATED. Fresh, bright flavors, and culinary excellence. We bought a few sandwiches, the falafel, chicken shawarma, and beef shawarma...everything was so delicious and fresh. I regret not buying more for later! We live an hour away, otherwise I would be eating here regularly. Every ingredient was mouth watering deliciousness... fresh vegetables, fried eggplant in with the felafel sandwich, all their fresh, house-made sauces...everything marries beautifully into the most delicious, fresh made pita pocket I have ever had...it was, by far, the best middle eastern sandwich(es) I have ever had...and that is saying a lot. We moved here last Summer from Dearborn, Michigan...the mecca of Arabic restaurants and food in the U.S. This is a family-owned business...the warm friendliness shone through, and there was v patience and joy in stopping to discuss the menu, ingredients, and origins. They take pride in their food, and that passion comes through in every bite! I am already planning my order for our next opportunity to stop in!“

“My mom made reservations for us at noon, and when it reached 12:15, we still had not had a server acknowledge us or take our drink orders so we waved the first one we saw over. She apologized profusely and took our drink orders even though she was not our waitress. She said she would find out what the issue was immediately. When she returned with our drinks, she apologized again and said there was a miscommunication and our server would be over momentarily. When our actual waiter came over, he also apologized multiple times and was very pleasant. He took our order and was very polite and conversational. When he served us our food, he also brought an additional appetizer (one that I had already eyeballed on the menu but decided against… the melon salad) as an apology for our wait. We had already forgiven him, but this went above and beyond and we were very impressed with the impeccable customer service.

We ordered the filet mignon skewers, served with Mediterranean rice and lentils with a side of chimichurri. It was PHENOMENAL. The flavor blew me away. We also ordered the spicy olive hummus which was also exceptional. And the melon salad that he comped was absolutely delicious.

I wish I remembered our servers name! We were there on 4/6/26 at noon, and we sat in the outdoor area.

Kudos to Pinyon and its staff for making what could have been a disappointing experience into an exceptional one!“

“....that secret sauce though.... On one of my monthly walk, talk and drops (flyers) I stopped in here on the good word of a friend in the know. He was right. This place is top notch! Malki, the owner, was working as usual and wearing many hats. She prepared the chicken shawarma as if she’d made it hundreds of times. It was quick and many others were right behind me waiting to put in. An order for the famous wrap. I like everything on it and extra spicy with the secret sauce. Pure deliciousness in every bite. Fast and friendly service and to top it all off, Malki is an awesome community member, participating in making the corridor a better place for the many local businesses. Only On Apache man! ...... “A group of us ate there today. It was good food, and ready quickly. Portion sizes were not as pictured for some of the plates nor did it look like the photos. The chicken kabob plate was more like a chicken piece, not a kabob. Same with the lamb plate. The hummus and chicken looked as pictured for the most part. Falafel was tasty, as was the date cake. Just keep in mind this is a counter restaurant. They gave us a table number but didn’t deliver the food. It was a bit confusing, keep a listen for your number and pick it up. Also order extra pita“

“We had a party of 6, served with joy by Genevieve. The cocktails were excellent. We shared thr Wedge Salad (could be a meal for one). I had an excellent gyro and fries. The Bloody Mary burger was overdone, but otherwise a good meal. The specialty is like a thin crust pizza...but better. It is a cracker base with melted havarti cheese, and then as many toppings as you desire. We have had this twice and brought some home both times. Unless you are very hungry, the 10 inch is a meal for two.
The location in Old Town Scottsdale is convenient to parking,and the open air dining on the second floor is great for street views.
We loved the experience and will return on our next AZ trip.“

“This place is very good. Be warned the portion size is a little bigger, so if you think I'll get a main and a little extra, you're in for a big plate. I have a few things on the menu, everything is good. I lean toward the chicken shawarma is great, the hummas is good. The lamb kabobs are very good too, but the greek fries are fantastic (which is a large order and can be shared). Will go there again. The only down side is during lunch rush, the seating is limited. Smaller place and high volume, so get there early is you want lunch, or wait until the rush dies down.“
