“TLDR; Dumplings were amazing, easy takeout and pretty good food for the location and price.

I’m pregnant and was craving some Chinese food, but didn’t want to drive into Phoenix. My husband ordered via phone the orange chicken, general chicken (both medium spicy) and the steamed dumplings. The girl who took our order was very kind and concise - answering the questions we had about the menu that we couldn’t figure out online.

15 minutes later he stopped in, grabbed our food with no issue. The steamed dumplings and the sauce that came with were delicious. My orange chicken hit the spot. The rice was overcooked, a little hard, and had absolutely zero flavor. My husband enjoyed the General chicken. The spice level was very mild despite the “medium” we ordered.

This was not the best Chinese food I’ve had - or that Phoenix has to offer - but it was quick, convenient and the price wasn’t exorbitante for the food we received. If I’m craving Chinese food NOW, and we’re in a pinch, I will definitely order again.“

The pepper steak here deserves a special mention. Hands down, the best I've ever had. The beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender with a rich, savory flavor that is perfectly balanced. It's clear they use high-quality meat and treat it with great care.
The sesame chicken also impressed me ~ lightly crispy on the outside while staying unbelievably tender inside. The sauce strikes that delicate balance between sweet and savory.
Not to be overlooked, the chicken egg roll was excellent ~ crisp, golden, and packed with flavorful filling. Even the noodles were memorable: perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of seasoning and a satisfying chew that made them irresistible.
Dao Kitchen isn't just good ~ it raises the bar. Every dish I tried showed a respect for ingredients and a mastery of technique that's rare to find. It's the kind of place you find yourself thinking about long after the meal is over.

“Alright, this review is for my experience on May 13th 2024 as well as my most recent visit here. I was celebrating my birthday with my family and it was such a fun experience. We recently had one of the best servers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, they were so funny and relatable with everyone at our table, I truly appreciated their hospitality and personality. I’m always unsure about what to get when we come here because it’s kind of like DimSum where you can share your entrees but you don’t have to. I typically order my fail safe, which is sweet and sour chicken and brown rice, it’s pretty good. They used to have a water chestnut chicken dish and my dad would order it off menu but they just removed it all together from the store (SAD). It’s a great environment for both big groups and small meetings. We enjoy coming here.“
