I ordered the pastrami Reuben, and it was outstanding—tender, flavorful pastrami, perfectly grilled rye, and just the right balance of sauerkraut and cheese. Suzanne had the roast beef sandwich with sauerkraut, and it was every bit as delicious.

The portions were more than ample and easily large enough to share. Everything tasted fresh, generous, and full of flavor. This is exactly what you hope for from a great neighborhood deli, and JJ’s definitely delivered. We will absolutely be back!“

I only have 1 “critique” and it’s not even their fault- the option to add a boozy libation to the taco combo is not working on their website, caviar or DoorDash. But that’s a tech issue and not at all reflective of them because even when I called, I think his name was Justin- he tried so hard to help me. “A local friend suggested Nick's after several disappointing Italian meals in Scottsdale, and it turned out to be our best meal in the area in eight months. Bar service was friendly and attentive, with a well rounded happy hour menu offering plenty of drink and snack options. We moved from the bar to a table and the excellent service continued. Both main courses were perfect in presentation, flavor, and portion size. We splurged on dessert, and the ice cream and cheesecake did not disappoint. As the evening went on, the bar filled with more patrons, giving the place a neighborhood favorite feel. One suggestion for improvement, serve the red wine closer to 55 degrees instead of room temperature.

“This is my favorite Starbucks location. The early morning employees are friendly and always take extra effort to ensure that my drink is correct and made with care. While the location on Pima is more of a direct route to work I go out of my way to come to this location.“

Tried the jalapeño inferno margarita next and it was significantly better. Ordered the small cheese crisp and it was a little overcooked. I should've had them add the green chilis to it. Had the taco/burrito combo. Good flavor/quality. Service was good. Chips and salsa were good as well. Good overall experience, will likely return when im in the area again.“

“We hadn’t been here for a while, and as with almost all other restaurants, the prices have increased fairly dramatically. They still have one basket of free chips and salsa and both were really good. We especially like the flour chips. We ordered the quesadilla Cobb salad and the nachos.

Both presentations were great and the nachos were huge. Way more than one person could eat. The Cobb salad was good, but maybe 1/4 of the bacon and chicken was chewy to inedible. The nachos had lots of chicken, cheese and refried beans and were very good. Diced tomatoes, diced jalapeños, sour cream, and guacamole were sprinkled on top.

The service was good and we recommend giving it a try.“
