“I hesitate posting this, because it is not a huge place, and I don’t want to create a future wait for myself. This place is exponentially better than the best review you’ll read here. Best bison burger I’ve ever had (and being allergic to beef, I’m an expert on the subject!) The creativity of the offered toppings is fun and mouth watering to even think about, best pretzel bun as well, and if you think you’ve had the best gelato in Italy, what Blu Burger carries will make you return here on nights you’re simply looking for dessert. The sides are homemade and generously portioned as well. Both the hostess and our server treated us like long lost friends, which in today’s culture is rare. They clearly value their customers. “We recently dined at Z’s House of Thai in Cave Creek with a group of five—four adults and one teenager—and overall came away impressed, with a few bumps along the way.

We ordered generously: five entrées and three appetizers. The appetizers came out promptly, and four of the five entrées followed without issue. The food itself was very good—well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly a strong point for the restaurant.

However, the final entrée was delivered incorrectly, and resolving it took longer than it should have. It was a bit frustrating to see three staff members involved before the situation was sorted out. While the issue was eventually addressed, it did interrupt the flow of the meal for that one guest.

The restaurant itself shows some wear, but the ambiance is still pleasant and comfortable, making it an enjoyable place to sit down and share a meal.

In terms of overall experience, four out of the five in our group would rate it a solid five. The one person affected by the order mix-up would likely give it closer to a three. That probably averages out to a strong recommendation—with just a note that service consistency could use a little tightening.

“I forgot how damn good JJ’s Deli is. My wife and I used to live in North Scottsdale and this place was a staple for us. Came back for a weekend visit and grabbed breakfast this morning. Order was ready before I even showed up, service was great, and the food was every bit as good as I remembered.

We’ve had great breakfast spots in both Los Angeles and Dallas, and JJ’s still holds its own with any of them. Just solid all around. One of the best breakfast spots I know and an easy recommendation.“

“A great neighborhood pizza place! They serve pizza by the slice for lunchtime at a great price. Barro’s on Cave Creek Rd is very supportive of local school groups like our high school band, and always willing to host a restaurant night to help us out. (Fast turn on getting the turnout numbers and check too) We absolutely love our local Barro’s Pizza! And yes, of course the pizza is delicious. Win-win for everyone, and scrumptious pizza. 🍕🍕❤️❤️“

“Just stopped for dinner was busy and they even ran out of chicken and had alittle wait. Wasnt that bad about 10 minutes after ordered. Food came hot fresh and very good. Manager even came to table to apologise for the wait, Told her no big deal on the wait as its a friday night prime dinner time 6:00pm. Was nice she stopped over though.“
