The entree prices were very reasonable, most of them $21-$29 each. I ordered the baked canneloni and it was so good. Someone ordered a pizza and loved it, too. I know it's conceited to say--but many times I eat at a restaurant thinking my own cooking is just as good. Not at The Sicilian Butcher--I couldn't begin to replicate the delicious food we ate.“

“I've been here twice so far! I've enjoyed both experiences. The atmosphere is really homey and calm. The baristas are super helpful when deciding what to order to drink. I was recommended the Bolla Sausage with green chile. Between the coffee and baked goods. The quality of the bread, fresh produce, and coffee drinks is phenomenal. I wish I started coming here sooner. This is another local staple shop for me. Hopefully, in the future, they can extend the hours. either way, Love it! Keep doing what you're doing here :)“

“The food & service was excellent! My husband had The Glendale Burger & his choice was a side salad. He said it was excellent & really liked the pickles they put on it. I had the Fish Fry with Cole Slaw & Cajun French Fries. Loved the flavor of the slaw. The Cajun fries reminded me of the restaurant we used to go to in Louisiana. Portions are great. I highly recommend to stop & eat or try their bar.“

“The wait was long, this is a popular place. The dinner was to capacity with tables and chairs, there is no standing room if there is no immediate seating you will have to wait in the parking lot, there are a few lounge chairs outside.
They had plenty of options on the menu but Today we tried the pho and grilled pork roll with peanut sauce. I asked for a smaller portion but I was served the biggest they had and it is impressively huge, if you're starving this is the place to go. There was a lot of meat and sprouts for our pho. The dishes do come in three sizes. The grilled roll was tasty.
On this side of the city this place is ok but we won't travel to visit again, there are better places for the same price.

Kid-friendliness: Wouldn't bring small children here and there is no room for high chairs

“You can tell immediately walking into En Route that this place is popular — busy, loud, trendy music going, and honestly very cute inside. It’s part café, part eatery, with drinks, food, herbal teas (unsweetened options — always appreciated), plus a fun retail vibe with local makers selling candles, jewelry, wellness goodies, jams, etc. I actually picked up some jewelry while I was there, which made the visit feel a little more experiential than your average coffee stop.

Menu is extensive, but if you’re vegan, you’ll likely be customizing rather than ordering straight off the menu. They were totally accommodating though — I customized an açaí blue magic smoothie bowl that turned out really good. Bonus points for serving it in a square container — random, but I’ve had a LOT of açaí bowls and that was a first. Cute, different, memorable.

Service was helpful but a bit flat energy-wise. I get that it was busy, but a little warmth at the register would’ve matched the otherwise vibey atmosphere better. Not bad service — just not the friendliest front-facing experience.

I also grabbed the last vegan baked good from a local brand (“Yum”) — a cinnamon roll cake muffin. Loved seeing a local vegan baker represented, though the frosting leaned too sweet for me and the texture was more coffee-cake-adjacent than muffin. Appreciated the option, even if I wouldn’t reorder.

Overall: great herbal tea selection (hot or iced loose leaf options = yes please), strong aesthetic, fun retail element, and a solid spot if you’re okay customizing for vegan needs. Definitely a cute hangout café with personality.“

“What a great experience. My wife, the poor thing, can never get her order to her right. We have been together a substantial amount of time relative to humans and in that time, twice her food has come out exactly the way she ordered it. Uncanny as it sounds I have been to hundreds of restaurants with her and have witnessed it first hand. I had to tell you that, to tell you this. Everything was excellent and exactly how we wanted it. Our waitress was incredible and I felt welcome because of her smile. You guys are doing great and the entire staff deserves an applause. Thanks everyone. So for our wedding my wife and I had a German themed wedding that could be described as an old world decorated ceremony and dinner with an Oktoberfest reception. Anyways, we needed food to be catered and there being only about two restaurants in the valley that could support this, we were able to come to an agreement with Chef Luis and his staff here at Haus Murphy's. This was a wedding planned for a max of 175 people to attend, there was not that many to attend but we ordered enough food for that amount of people. Our request was for giant pretzels and stuffed mushrooms for the cocktail hour with their mustard and cheese dips. Main course was Eisbein, The BIG Smoked Beefy Bratwurst, Kilometer, spätzle, potato pancakes, German potato salad, and sauerkraut. Chef Luis nailed it!!! The food was definitely one of THE MOST talked about hits at our wedding and I could not agree more! I love this place and it will always be high on my recommendations for friends and family who visit the valley and is a Downtown Glendale treasure.“
