“I’ve been vegan for almost 12 years. Slowly there have been restaurants that are plant based, but I’ve never found good vegan Mexican food, until now. “I stayed overnight near the airport and looked for a place that served vegan breakfast. What a find! The restaurant is located in a neighborhood in the Coronado Historic district, not some crowded strip mall with a busy parking lot. There was seating inside but I sat outside under huge mesquite trees that kept the temperature comfortable. It was a nice atmosphere. The owner waits on customers and enthusiastically tells them about the different items, all thoughtfully very different. There were lots of dishes I wanted but settled on the Pale Desert, a tofu scramble topped with a large biscuit and gravy. I also got a side of roasted potatoes. My meal was delicious. I also bought this home made rosemary chocolate chip cookies to go. Haven't tried them yet but my I guess they too will be delicious.“
