“From the moment we were seated, the service at Black Bear Diner in Gilbert exceeded expectations; and that was largely thanks to our server, Chase (Aiden). Despite managing a full section, he never made us feel rushed or overlooked. Quite the opposite—he took the time to make us feel genuinely welcome and at home. Chase was not only attentive but also clearly knowledgeable about the menu and options. He carried himself with a confidence that showed he takes pride in his work and truly cares about each guest’s experience. Watching him interact with other tables, it was obvious we weren’t the only ones who appreciated his excellent service—everyone seemed to enjoy his energy. As for the food: no complaints whatsoever. Both of our meals were hot, fresh, and delicious. Great portions, great flavors, and served exactly as ordered. All around, it was a great experience. If you’re heading to this location, I highly recommend asking for Chase, he’s a standout and made our visit even better.“

“If you haven’t checked this place out recently you’re living under a rock- I mean this lovingly. The food is amped up. My husband and I like good FOOD. We’re fitness people and eat at home a lot but when I want good food we have a couple go tos- including bourbon and bones. Like I like good good food if I’m going to spend money. Not only do we love the range- we have for a while but since the new owners took over the food is next level. Burgers, flatbreads, the Philly, this is amazing food. The staff is amazing. Adam, Danni, it’s our new cheers bar. We love this place!!!!“

“I have been a wine member here for years. Love the wine tastings and always enjoy going in for the wine of the month. There is flexibility to change the tastings for a glass. I am hard of hearing with hearing aids but I can have conversations without struggling whether I am in the dining room or bar. I have great service from a number of servers which include Cade (very personable, makes you feel like you are the only person in the room), Mike (funny), Frank (funny, very knowledgeable of the membership and got me known about the member dinners!) and Greg (funny). I would dine with them all again and have. The wine bar is a fun atmosphere and you get to meet others while you are there. Ciera is new. I love the trivia she brings, knowledgeable of the wines and just very sweet. Stephanie has been there for years, knows her wines and has great suggestions. Greg is one of the managers and also works at the wine bar. He is funny, knows his wines and knows what I like and would not. Coopers Hawk is my go to for all occasions.“

“I like how they change out their menu seasonally, adding new things. Their soups are always rotating and the creamy potato seems to be a favorite. The salads and sandwiches here are made fresh too. Make sure you grab a slice of your favorite pastry or cake. Yum“

“10/1/2022 just ate breakfast this morning. Had make your own breakfast. Sausage overcooked hard to eat even to cut. Looked darker. Haah brown overcooked. Both sides dark and brittle. Just breaks apart. Egg whites scramble still watery. My granddaughter same sausage patties. My wife same breakfast as mine same problems. We have eaten dinner there so many times. Just awesome. No problem. But this morning don't know. No more breakfast.“

“4/14/2024 Just had an amazing experience with our large group, celebrating my niece's graduation from nursing school. We rented the Heritage Room and it exceeded my expectations. Our server, Nikki (not sure how she spells it! I'm also a Niki and I know that there are 300 diff ways to spell it haha!) was outstanding. So unbelievably helpful, attentive and kind. She handled a group of 26 guests like it was a basic party of 8. She took care of each guest with ease and was quick to respond with food requests. Thanks again, Nikki!!!“

“First time there. Restaurant was very nice and clean. Our waiter was awesome, the atmosphere was very pleasant and a nice family place. Food overall was mid. I ordered eggs benedict - the whites on my egg were so runny/raw, instead of ham steak they used sliced ham which wasn't even fried it was cold on top of the english muffin, the sauce was good but overall the best part of the meal was the potatoes which were warm and good., the eggs/ham were room temp if even that. My daughter took me for brunch she likes the place, I wanted to go to a diner, she chose there - I am not a fan. Presentation of the food was nice, but i like my food warm/hot that plate felt like it was sitting there before i was served.“

“My experience wasn’t the best, but I’m giving 5 stars for the employees… I felt unsafe as another male customer came up to me and started making small talk. I’m about in my 20’s, he was in 40’s. I also made clear that I was way younger, and he still persisted in talking to me, even after looking away multiple times. I literally had to ask the employees if they could hurry my order and they instantly took initiative and allowed me to go to the bar, in which they brought to me directly to avoid him…

I wish I got the employees names. But it was around 7:00pm today, october 22nd. Seriously, the night crew that was here tonight, THANK YOU.“

“Wow, I found my new favorite breakfast spot! I was waiting for my car to be serviced at San Tan Hyundai and walked over to the closest breakfast spot. I was Welcomed right away as soon as I walked in, I was seated quickly by Karen. She was the sweetest woman and gave the greatest service that I can honestly say I have had in a very long time. The trick is to get there early on the weekends, if you don’t want to wait, but I will definitely be coming back.“

“This was our first time at High Tide Gilbert and our server was a seasoned employee who steered us in the right direction the entire experience. We started with calamari and edamame. Delish. We each had sea bass, mine was Chilean with a lobster buerre blanc and my husband had a pistachio crusted bass. We loved our meals, server was helpful and anticipatory, the place was beautiful and pricing was on par for the cuisine.“

“The owners are nasty ppl that are literally stealing from guests. The "cash discount" is the guest paying the transaction fees. However, they're charging you for debit card transactions that dont exist. They are pocketing that money! They treat employees like garbage, and the kitchen is FILTHY!!!!!! “We have been going to Texas Roadhouse next store for years. But for a long while we had to send it back, almost every visit. Usually raw and bland. So finally we had enough, and tried Applebee's.

We tried the back menu 2 meal specials. I was surprised. Been going only here now for the last few months. For over 1/3 less price.

1. Sirloin flavor and texture way better.
2. The side salad twice as big.
3. 2 sides not one. They all taste better as well.
4. Bonus. Their salmon has always been awesome. Better than Pita Jungle at the movie theater. And cheaper too.

Only thing Texas roadhouse had that I miss was the prime rib and rolls. But my wallet seems very happy now. I always leave this Applebee's feeling satisfied. Look on the back of the menu.“

“I came here with my team on a business lunch. One of us couldn't make it and the bar area was very busy as well was our server. Our server managed her whole area with ease, and without making us feel like we were overwhelming her. She gave us enough space to converse about the business that we needed to tend to, and she was extremely sweet. The area was a little loud but we did not mind. Because the food was out of this world. Even though it was a business lunch, I decided to splurge on my team with bloody Mary's and they were fantastic. We got the bacon appetizer, the french toast appetizer, and I had a breakfast sandwich that tasted like an elevated McDonald's Mcgriddle. It was extraordinary. I will definitely come back with friends or even by myself. I am dreaming about all the other delicious menu items that I can't wait to taste. Bravo!“

“The food was good. The service was ok but the communication on how and where to pick up my to go order was unclear. I know where the online /to go order area is but I was told it could be there or they would give it to me at the front counter. Plus when I arrived at the scheduled time on my confirmation it was not ready. I was told it would be five minutes which I understand but I had to ask repeatedly after five minutes because the information I was given was unclear. It would be better service to have your staff keep me posted rather than me having to ask. When I have to ask it feels like I am being impatient or am interrupting them.“

“First time consumer here and on Mother’s Day. I ordered the mimosa flight with chips and salsa. The server and the bartender were very kind and courteous. Downfall, it took a significant amount of time just to place an order for the drinks and then to receive the drinks. Received a glass of water but with the heat - the temperature of the water changed quickly. The server was kind enough to brink be a bigger glass with more ice and water. It was at least 100 outside - the misters were not turned on. That coupled with the time it took for me to receive the mimosa flights and the temperature of the mimosas- I will not be a return customer. **Update - when I arrived there were only 4 other patrons. And my food and drink order still took quite a long time. I had to ask for water glass. Then ask for glass with ice water. The bartender must be a novice - he had to keep looking at something while putting together the mimosa flight - the champagne should have been chilled and was not! Soo many issues now that I am thinking more on my encounter.“

“Brunch with Mrs. V. @ one of our fave brunch eateries in downtown Gilbert. Frannie ordered the Chili Verde Benedict which she described as absolutely amazingly. I ordered Juan’s Breakfast Tacos (My go to) which had flavor for days. A beautiful Fall day, 85° and sunny, provided perfect weather for outdoor seating. Our server, Camille, was extraordinarily friendly, and engaging. The GM, Mariam visited our table and presented us with a complimentary cinnamon roll pancake (off their “secret” menu) courtesy of Camille, which was incredibly thoughtful and delicious. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!“

“Party of 11 waiting 35min for a table. A wide range of excuses provided which was directed toward another table of a transient seater. Hostess team was very snide and unwelcoming. Other excuses included a spilled beverage, and to find a server for our table. So, we left. Not cool guys, not cool.“
