“We visited the Boyce Thompson Arboretum today and looked for a good place to stop for a late lunch. Saw The Prospector was open and it looked to be on the golf course so we headed that way. It's a small place with maybe 8 tables inside and had a good size, dog friendly patio that overlooks the greens. Our server Cassandra, was fantastic, especially when it was myself, a girlfriend, and our two daughters. I was nervous when I saw most of the people eating were golfers and I didn't want to disrupt the place with our kiddos but everyone was great. I was torn on several items on the menu, including a taco salad, buffalo chicken salad burgers, sandwiches, nachos but I landed on two soft ground beef tacos and a side of fries. The sauce and meat were very tasty and I especially loved their style of fries. My daughter asked if they could accommodate a grilled cheese that was off menu, and they were completely open to it. Also, the other little girl with us asked for an open face quesadilla and they also had no issues. The food was reasonably priced and we not only enjoyed our meal, our service, but we also enjoyed other company from guests at the table near us. I would recommend this place when you are in the area. 5 star service.“
“We’re from Minnesota, here for a few weeks. Been here 3 times since arriving, and we love everything about this place. The food is amazing every time. The staff runs their butts off, and absolutely friendly. Live one man bands two of the 3 times. The atmosphere and other customers are friendly and happy. Sat at the bar once to eat and had a couple drinks. He was just wonderful. We will always come here for evenings out when we are in the area.“
“Finishing up a 5 day stay here for our daughter’s destination wedding and most of the guests stayed here. Every meal here was amazing! The tenderloin was tender and cooked perfectly, the ribs were flavorful and fall off the bone tender, the coconut shrimp was perfect, mahi mahi tacos also, as well as everything else! Oh also the chicken fried steak and breakfast buffet on the weekend!“
“This was stop 5 on our East Valley firefighters charity poker run on Saturday. The four of us were there for about an hour greeting other riders while enjoying a cold beer. There's a great patio on the outside and the service was very good.“
“My husband and I had lunch today here. I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast. Gravy was tasty, perfectly cooked steak. Unfortunately my husbands fish and shrimp plate was very mediocre. Fun funky little place with friendly staff. I’ll go back but I may have to eat alone. ?♀️“
“Great place to grab lunch while spending the day at the Gold Field Gold Mine. Much better than the burger we had another time at the Gold Field Saloon and Steak House... also less expensive and faster service! Don't forget to go back for ice cream! Excellent service and flavors. The specialty flavor made just for them is Dinomite Crunch lots of Caramel and Pecans... delicious in the 'made right there in front of you waffle cones!“
“Got a to go order so I can't tell you anything about the service other than the time it said the order would be ready was dead on.The wings were slammin, especially the bbq and jerk. The lemon pepper was meh. I won't get wings nowhere else in the east valley. Potatoes wedges were also ? but the zucchini fries were just meh. Zucchini fries were soggy but fried good.“
“Bar is great , it is a dive bar but it’s still good .. Food never order again kitchen is horrible if you get your food at all .. gave it a couple try’s it’s either raw, takes 2 hours for a burger or it’s cold or you just may not get it at all..“
“I had the grilled salmon, grilled asparagus and pineapple coleslaw and it was very good. Loved the herbs and spices. Our waitress, Heidi. was cheerful and friendly. I do have to report though, that the club soda in my drink was flat.Parking: Easy-schmeazy“
“This restaurant is now my favorite place to eat! It is awesome on so many levels. They greet you sincerely when you walk in, they are tentative to your needs, awesome service, genuine, polite, fast service. The food is even better than their service, if that is even possible. It is good wholesome food not all spiced up and flavored with strange seasonings. Just genuine good food. The price is very reasonable, I think it's More reasonable than an average restaurant. It just doesn't get any better as far as I'm concerned.“
“My mom has been telling us about Culver's for years and how good the fish and chips were here, but my mom is 80 and sometimes her good is different from our good, if you know what I mean. Lol. We finally broke down and tried it, and I have to say it was great! This fish and chips was on point with any other place that you would normally pay $20 bucks for, only here it was way cheaper. The service was great, too. We have been back multiple times since our first visit, and it's consistently great. It reminds me of the same level of service as a Chick Fillet or In and Out Burger. Good recommendation mom!“
“My biggest complaint is that they won't put me a bed in the back, so I can eat the food anytime I want ?. No honestly the food is always yummy. You are greeted with a smile, and something said that instantly makes you feel at home. For the amount of food you receive, the prices are right where they should be. I order the carrot cake to-go at least twice a week lol. Try the carrot cake for dessert for sure!!!“
“It was sorta empty, just before band started. Boy, within a few minutes, it was packed. The servers kept up with orders pretty well. We didn't have food.Parking: Dirt parking lot plus, parking on street. Get there before band starts and, plenty of seats.“
“Linn was our server and she was amazing and very attentive. Meanwhile she had these awful people next to us that complained about their bill being $3 extra for bacon they ordered and she forgot to put it on the check... so they made a whole scene claiming they should pay what the check originally said before she changed it to the correct amount for the FOOD THEY ATE. Edgar the manager(I think was his name) , handled all of this amazingly when called over. There's only so much you can do with stupidity... So sorry you guys had to go through that, you all were amazing to us and the food was incredible! Thank you!Disregard the bad review they may or may not leave here.... cause they're not telling you the full story.“
“First visit. Breakfast. Nice people. No wait for a table. The coffee was all right, not exceptional. We ordered huevos ranchero and chorizo and potato burrito. The stuffings of the burrito were good but the tortilla was cold and apparently hadn’t been warmed and cooked before the wrapping. The huevos ranchero excellent with a fried tortilla as the base and shredded pork and refried beans under the nicely cooked eggs topped with a nice verde sauce. The accompanying country fried potato chunks were plentiful if unsalted. Would go back.“
