“Most of the staff know how to do their job like they're supposed to but then there's those others that don't or choose not to do their job appropriately so that's why I give it a four star rating instead of five. This is coming from a current employee there. The reason why I say most of the stuff out there know how to do their job is because I'm friends with most of the employees and we have a great time while maintaining our job quality equity and integrity. We also love to keep our customers happy satisfied and coming back for more fulfillment and entertainment. I'm a cashier but I love to make people smile everyday otherwise I don't see why I'm there. As a cashier at this location I made it my personal goal to make every one of my customers smile to the best of my abilities or try to make them feel welcomed to our store at any given time and to feel willing and prepared to ask for help from any of the employees. But I do have to say that a few of my supervisors are actually really cool they do know how to train their new employees well and I would say that it is a pretty decent place to work at as well as shop. But the general store manager does have a negative attitude towards most employees no matter who they are or their job position. But in my opinion I don't focus on him because he is not a major factor in my decisions on whether or not I treat my customers with respect or without respect. I aim to treat my customers with the respect that they deserve no matter how disrespectful they are to me and to make sure they find everything that they are looking for it and hopefully more“

“Oh. My. Goodness!! Just stopped in on our way to Alabama from California and I am so glad we did!! I have celiac and their gluten free cupcakes are to die for!! We got the strawberry, salted caramel and blueberry. They were all absolutely delicious!! Especially the blueberry one!! Heavenly!! If I had tried it before we left I would have gotten more!!“

“Amazing! You must try!!We got the Lebanese chicken and it was so moist and flavorful. The rice and salad was also delicious. And the lemonade is the most unique lemonade you’ll ever try- very good.Amazing service as well and has a great homey feel to it.“

“My drink was delicious, churro iced coffee, and so were the pastries I got. I didn't like how the menu is so far from the register and so tall up the wall, it can be hard to read the first row. The location really isn't ideal. You can barely tell from the outside where the door is to go in. There is a huge homeless population in this area which caused an issue coming back out to my car and a man was passed out against it. The actual goods are delicious, just sometimes have to think about going to this location only during certain times of day and with someone to feel comfortable.“

“The lady was so nice and sweet. She smiled the entire time she was serving me. To my surprise, I had no idea what kind of coffee I was ordering. Until I tried it and realized this wasn't your typical cup of joe. It was Mexican coffee!! It tasted great. I love living in arizona.“

“I had the pressed cuban for lunch with kettle chips and it tasted pretty good. The service was fine although I didn't head towards the back to cause problems with my order and everyone was friendly. I'm just a black tea guy and they had (I believe) cactus black tea. The tea was okay although I did get a refill. Would I go back...sure but the issue I have is I'm on the other side of town.“

“My daughter and I made a fairly decent pilgrimage to Red Velvet Recipes because we'd seen Mayor Gallego's posts about it. Let me say that this is one of the best things we've ever done. Their cupcakes are absolutely to die for and 100% the best I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and go. You won't be sorry. We'll be coming back soon! PS The blueberry pie cupcake is about the best thing I've ever had!“

“What can I say, I can say I have my own personal donut shop that I can recommend highly! This family run business makes me hate and love going on there because I have my favorites yet I want to try so many things and I never do because they do my favorites so well!Everyone is always in a great mood and forever smiling with greetings for everyone coming in and leaving. The family and their employees have a genuine mindset of a joyful experience every time for every customer. I don't know why this shop is the "best in Phoenix" every year. They're open early and fairly late and regardless of the time of day the donuts are fresh.If you haven't tried this shop, I think you're missing a true Phoenix gem and thank God it's on the south side of Phoenix!“

“Best panadería I’ve been to thus far.. The pan (bread) is delicious, they have the perfect sweet and savory variety to choose from. Most bakeries have a huge selection to choose from and yet the bread/dough all taste similar. Not Champis, every cookie/danish/muffin etc has its own delicious individual taste! The owner is so welcoming a sweet and the store itself is so clean and is decorated as if you’re in a small town with greenery/plants. Overall an amazing panaderia.“

“We ordered our wedding cake from Bamboo Bakery. The tasting and ordering process was so easy and we got to try many different flavors before making our choice. We went with a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and vanilla cake with peaches n cream filling. We went to other cake tastings before this one and weren’t really satisfied. (We’re huge cake lovers.) Once we tasted bamboo bakery’s cake we knew this was the one! Their cake is so moist and their flavors are so unique and refreshing to the palette. Just enough sweetness. Not only was the cake delicious but the presentation was flawless and looked exactly like the inspo picture we showed them. I can’t recommend them enough and I’ll be ordering all my event cakes from them.“

“Not super crowded when I went. Ample selection of donuts that looked great. I had the apple bear claw and it didn't disappoint. This is one of those hole-in-the-wall type places where everything is pretty outdated and not exceptionally clean. They serve coffee, boba, and sandwiches as well. I had a cup of coffee that was fine, but in the way that your home coffee maker with store bought ground coffee and creamer are fine. The employees working were nice and knew their regulars. I would come back for more donuts... Maybe a sandwich based on the other reviews.“

“After 30 years of bouncing around coffee shops in Arcadia I stumbled into Lola's at 40th and Indian School. The service, the food, the coffee everything is top notch. The barista even tops off my latte with a design. It is my go-to coffee shop and breakfast place.“

“The Dinersaur is a cute themed bakery that is set up to grab and go. Two of us stopped by during our time in Phoenix and sampled a few of their treats - the chocolate banana bread, dinosaur cookie, and the raspberry jam linzer. Overall the treats were tasty (especially the linzer!) and the overall theme and vibe was super cute. Service was helpful and friendly. I'd recommend stopping by if you are in the area and need a treat!“

“The staff is great. All the ladies that are working are always super nice, helpful and friendly. They have a variety of pastries and sweet bread and it’s always very good and fresh. They also sell homemade tortillas for $6 per dozen which is great for the quality. They offer red and green shredded beef burritos for $5 as well. I also enjoy when they put out holiday themed items. I believe they also sell tamales but I have yet to try those. Everything tastes very authentic and you can tell it’s made fresh. You can even see them making the tortillas at times too. All their items always look colorful, fun and appetizing. Love coming here!“

“Best cookies EVER. I love milk chocolate chip cookie. Hands down the best. Service fast yet the cookies are warm like they just got out of the oven. The ahwatukee store is nice n clean which is important to me to know they bake in a clean area“

“Came in 15 minutes before closing with a custom cake order I needed the following morning.I ordered a pink champagne cake with custom art on top that I designed and emailed over for them(Only a $15 charge to add graohic prints)Cake was ready on time and exceeded presentation expectations. Parts of ends of cake a tiny bit dry but the entire center was amazingly moist and delicious.I will definitely be returning. “Bread on bread on bread ? yes thet got your pan dulce and yes it's decent. Fresh and warm. They got conchas, cuernos, teleras, bolios. They got good cuts for your Carne asada, and their pollos asados are good too. There's like a deli part where if you don't have a tio that can light up the grill they gotchu. They have some already cooked Carne asada along with the cebollas and jalapeños. Carnitas are available too. They got piñatas candies and soda! And if you need to send money to your Tata or Nana there's a money gram little nook in there too! Bring cash but they take debit too“

“The prices are amazing. It is cash only so don’t forget to bring some. Not everything looks perfect because it’s basically what didn’t make the cut but still tastes fantastic. But the lady on the inside didn’t greet us or say hi and barely said a word when we were checking out it felt a little bizarrre.“

“I highly recommend it. We arrived when the owner, I believe, had the chicken & carne asada on the grill. The tacos were amazing & they ygave us samples of menudo & pozole & they did not disappoint. If we come back to AZ, we are definitely coming back.“
