“A few years back my traveling girlfriends were driving thru Payson after a fun filled weekend. They needed their coffee fix - me I’ll get a tea (not a coffee lover). We happened to find this off the beaten track coffee shop that I am sure the locals pretty much know about. We just recently took a day trip again and stopped in. Two coffees and a smoothie for me. We sat and watched the end of the eclipse and enjoyed the patio! Common Grounds is Payson’s little gem! This beats any franchise coffee shop I’ve enjoyed.“

“My husband and I enjoyed our first meal at Rim Country today. Let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing! I ate my weight in delicious pizza, superb tasting brisket and a perfectly cooked baked potato. My husband had the 1/2 pound of chopped brisket and the most scrumptious fries topped with cheddar jalapeño sausage. We left in the most phenomenal food coma I think I’ve ever had. 10 out of 10 The service was super friendly and casual. Will be eating here every time we’re in Payson. Customers for life.“

“The service was great! They remembered my favorite drink and milk preferences and even gave recommendations based off of it! The place feels very relaxed, like they won't rush you to make your order. They treat you more than some number, you are a friend, family or neighbor. Today I had her new cookie Mallow Dreams and it was SOO GOOD! I had to happy dance as I gobbled it down, lol! I also got a hot chocolate with her housemade Sesame sauce. “This place rode into our sleepy little town like a gunslinger at high noon and has been cleaning up ever since. Fresh food, good service, reasonable prices, and portions that do not insult you. Taco Tuesday street tacos are the real deal, and the roasted pepper they serve alongside is not decorative. It is a warning. Respect it.

The salsa bar deserves its own mention. Abundant, fresh, and well thought out. Pickled carrots, fresh cucumbers, and a lineup of salsas that cover every heat level. From “flavor first” to “questioning your life choices.” It is the kind of salsa bar that quietly tells you they know what they are doing.

Everything we have tried so far has been excellent. The place is clean, the staff knows what they are doing, and the daily specials give you a reason to keep coming back.

To the owners: You made the right call coming here.
To the locals: Saddle up. This should now be a regular stop.

“We stopped by for a cold beverage through Payson on our way back to NM. Our server was so very friendly and patient as she explained the differences between possible choices. She made recommendations and helped us select our menu options.
Our selected drinks were very delicious and confirmed our server's explanations and descriptions and taste!!!
We used the walk up window and were able to visit briefly with other patrons, getting their wisdom and experience for potential future selections!!“

“Delicious lightly breaded chicken breadts and the honey biscuits are sooo good!! Flaky and smothered in honey and butter.
The staff will get you what you need, but don't expect much conversation about options. This chicken spot is tucked in the back of a gas station, with limited seating and the liquor wall right behind the tables, which does bother me, but my granddaughter had a lot of questions.
Chicken was juicy and hot, service wasn't bad, but wasn't stellar, location was convenient in town, indoor seating was clean and came with a conversation wall.“
