Premium Matcha Cafe Maiko is a restaurant known for its top-notch iced matcha latte and unique matcha creations. The matcha latte delivers a smooth, earthy flavor made with ceremonial-grade Uji matcha imported from Japan, and the strawberry matcha latte and Yuzu frappe remain popular choices, along with their matcha ice cream. Customers often praise the quality of the matcha, calling it the best in Phoenix, and appreciate the delicious desserts, including options like sweet red bean and rice cakes that can be customized to some extent. The black sesame latte and matcha float with ube ice cream have received positive feedback as well. The Japanese pancakes are a highlight but can be hard to catch, as they are not always available. While the service is generally pleasant and efficient, some customers have noted that the portions are small, especially for floats, which tend to be mostly ice with little drink or ice cream left after a few sips. The café has a bright, welcoming vibe, and drinks are served quickly. Although there are mentions of water cleanliness and the absence of a restroom, the experience remains positive, especially for those seeking high-quality matcha and delightful desserts.
