We ordered the Hydra favourite of lightly fried zucchini and eggplant , shared the sea bream family platter grilled ( the potatoes are incredible ). Sea bream beautifully filleted at the table . It certainly fell off the bone but was lacking some flavor and the presentation of food was not stellar. The salad was squeezed in a small dish and squeezed on plate. I think the dinner plate was too small.. All in all is was very editable and my other guests e enjoyed there meal too.“

“It’s always awesome to have great and fresh food with amazing varieties of items of both vegetarian and non vegetarian that are sure to please everyone’s taste buds and one such place is there within easy reach and reasonable pricing. This is the place which has been in operation for several years now helping many office workers in the tower and many people in and around the area. The portions come with choice of meats and two vegetable items totally complimentary! For the carb, they serve hot rice with a surprising addition of a fried papad at no charge. This has been my ‘go to’ place for my lunch everyday for many years so long I was working in the tower office and now having retired visit this place without fail whenever I happened to visit downtown Vancouver. Great quality with no change in taste and flavour for years. Checkout their special item of the day, that is on every weekday Recommended highly!

“Bought 2 wraps, beef was pretty good. Chicken was pretty much all lettuce, definitely needed more chicken, did not much. To much lettuce and not enough anything else. I see in the reviews this has been an issue before. Pita was really good tho.“

“I absolutely love this place, the guy who runs it is super sweet and he makes the food super quick. I was a regular here for a while and he memorized my order which made me feel special. The prices are all super reasonable and you can get a full balanced meal that tastes good for less then 20 bucks. This is the only donair shop I ever spend money in.“

“More a 'go if you're in the area' rather than a favorite donair spot for me. Service is friendly. Regular platter portions is sparse, recommend paying for extra chicken to get a decent amount.

Flavor is good, has tabouli salad which is unique for donair places. Donair with decent portions is getting more expensive.“

“A great late-night option for wraps and platters, my personal preference.

Chicken/Lamb/Beef platters are $18.49 each, and my portion was happily hefty when I picked it up in person versus ordering via DoorDash/Uber Eats. It comes with Greek salad, 2x domaldes, 2 potatoes, rice, and a heap of meat that gets covered in 2 sauces of your choice.

I also ordered a side tabbouleh that I wish was more dominant with parsley, but it’s still decent, and quite filling with the extra quinoa.

The location was super clean, and the customer service was sincerely warm and friendly. Not sure what’s with all the negative reviews, but in my opinion, if you enter with a smile, you’ll get served with smiles in return.

“Huge portion size and delicious food. It’s my first time trying out East African food, so I asked the staff for recommendations and ended up ordering their Massawa Tibs with beef and of mild spice. The beef was flavorful and not salty, and the injera was spongy and a bit sour but good. They even gave me more injera on the side.

The food was just like the pictures but I was pleasantly surprised by the humongous portion size. I’ll say you could order one and share for two people. I ordered one for myself but was left filled to the brim.

“Best chain/lunch/fast donair in the city this location has 3 of the nicest service workers (they know who they are) that I've met since coming to the lowermainland for work. Me and rebar crew work up a very large appetite and are always super full when we return after lunch. Definitely recommend if you in a rush you can be on and out in under 10 minutes.“

“Yesterday was my second time at Chickpea, and I have to say they offer a wide variety of options for any time of the day.

On both visits, Laura was my server, and she has been a big part of why I’ve enjoyed this place so much. Her service was incredible, and I always feel very well taken care of every time I come here.

The restaurant’s decor is also beautiful and has very “Chickpea vibes.”

“Spent 130$ for 4 combos and an appie, no tzatziki at all in the take-out bag. That was a depressing meal. The pain is immeasurable.

Update: The business followed up, they were understanding of said pain, and explained the mishap during that night. Next order got extra tzatziki. Was a good time.“

“We went there for dinner with a group of friends. It was my second time visiting. I ordered the Joojeh Kebab (Thai chicken) and kebab loghme which was good quality and served in a generous portion. However, one of the waiters was not polite —especially considering it was only 8:30 p.m. They seemed tired and a bit rude. Overall, I liked the food, but the restaurant needs a strong manager to better train the staff.“
