Ki Cafe Reviews
Website said this cafe was open, when we got there from 45 minutes away it was closed. Everything on the door said they opened back up on the 11th of Jan and it was the 13th at 1pm. No notice at all anywhere they were closed. Very disappointed
the cheese tarts are amazing, the cakes are great, the peach oolong and blue rose as well as 604 is good too!

Ki Cafe is a cozy and unique spot known for its delicious desserts and limited but tasty food options. The cafe features a cute decor, with a wall full of manga, a piano for playing, and a bathroom equipped with an electric bidet. It has a welcoming atmosphere and is conveniently located about a block from Royal Oak Skytrain Station. The space is accessible and can accommodate both large groups and private visits, with some effort made to cater to wheelchair users.
The menu is small but offers quality items. The matcha parfait is highly praised, described as better and cheaper than tsujiri and nana’s. The sakura ice cream and sakura cake roll are seasonal treats, with the parfait and other desserts tempting repeat visits. The desserts are sweet and flowery, with the parfait and green tea soft serve ice cream standing out as must-tries. The cafe also serves a limited selection of hot food, mainly versions of omurice such as sausage and egg curry omurice, which are flavorful and satisfying, although some find the portions modest for the price. The sausage omurice is especially recommended for its delicious taste.
Drinks are a highlight, with strong, flavorful milk teas like the hojicha milk tea and green tea soft serve being popular. The milk teas can be customized for sugar levels, and the large glasses offer good value. Prices are reasonable for desserts and drinks, but hot food is considered somewhat expensive given the limited options and portion sizes. The cafe has a no laptop/studying policy and does not expect tips, aligning with Japanese customs.
Overall, Ki Cafe is a charming place to enjoy quality desserts, read manga, and relax, with friendly service and a cozy ambiance making it a favorite for sweet treats and casual gatherings.
