Just a suggestion that they should display pictures of the food or put their menu on their store front window for display as I notice some people passing by not knowing what they offer as some people don’t know what tonkatsu is. After finish8ng my meal and waiting for my husband to get the car, I noticed some tourists walking by looking around to see if they could find the menu or something at the door but nothing was available.“

“The service was good. The staff came by and was accommodating and helpful. I took my grandma here in her wheelchair and they brought us to a good table that was good for her. It is a small and cozy place. Not many seating. But was able to get a seat easily at opening time.

“I recently discovered this magnificent sushi restaurant near my home. I've never experienced fresher sushi before. Their raw oysters are divine. And the sockeye salmon sashimi is unbelievable. My server (Rose) is a sweetheart who is friendly and polite. The music is a little on the loud side but the genre of the music is enjoyable. I'm going to make this sushi restaurant my regular place from now on.“

“Coquitlam/Vancouver is incredibly lucky to have a food staple like Hee Rae Deung. When it comes to 불맛, portion size, and atmosphere, this place is simply unmatched. I genuinely felt like I was back in Korea.

Not only does everything taste phenomenal, but there’s something deeply satisfying about the sheer abundance of food that arrives at the table. Every dish is generous and packed with flavour.

1)Dumplings: unbelievably good. Juicy, crispy, bursting with flavour
2) Jjajangmyeon: rich, smooth, perfectly balanced.
3) Jjampong: smoky with incredible depth of flavour, loaded with seafood, and refreshingly not greasy or heavy.
4) Tangsuyuk: can’t praise this enough. The portion size is amazing, the crunch is crunchy, and the hint of lemon in the sauce was such a unique twist -not overly sweet and very addictive.

Overall, Hee Rae Deung delivers not only amazing food, but the comfort, nostalgia, and satisfaction of an authentic Korean dining experience. Thank you Hee Rae Deung“

“Went to Browns SocialHouse for dinner the other night and it did not disappoint! I had shredded lettuce wraps on rice and it was made to perfection. The Caesar I ordered was also delicious. The beef dip was really tasty, it came out piping hot and was seasoned so nicely. The staff were great. Very friendly and knowledgeable.“

“I like it here. Pizza is great!!! Staff are beyond friendly and they offer you a drink while you wait. Great neighbourhood feel even though it’s a chain.

I really enjoy eating in as well. The kids love the kids menu and activity sheets. Our waitress Anastasia was so great with the kids and very friendly.

“We were honestly losing hope after eating out so much lately… but OZ completely surprised us in the best way.

Service was great from start to finish. We ordered the pork bone soup + chicken katsu combo, and I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the best chicken katsu I’ve ever had. We did the half-and-half, including the onion cream chicken, and wow. The chicken was insanely juicy—my boyfriend pointed out it’s probably because they use chicken thigh, and yep, it is thigh. You can really tell they actually care about the quality of the chicken.

They also had promotions going on, so our total bill came out to around $60, which is crazy for the amount and quality of food we got. Everything tasted fresh, comforting, and well done.

I genuinely can’t hype this place enough. It caught us completely off guard, in the best way. We’ll definitely be back—and next time, we’re bringing the kiddos too.“

I originally ordered a spaghetti carbonara but received a spaghetti bolognese instead. The staff were polite at the time, but the initial solution didn’t fully address the inconvenience, which led to my first review.

The following day, the restaurant reached out, refunded the incorrect item, and also offered additional compensation (two pasta dishes and snacks). I appreciate them taking the time to follow up and make things right.

Mistakes can happen with any order, but what matters is how they’re handled. In this case, the restaurant resolved the situation fairly, so I’m happy to update my review.“

This is my second time visiting, and I can confidently say I won’t be going anywhere else! From start to finish, my experience was absolutely fantastic. The manager is exceptional!!!!! so friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to making every guest feel valued. “I always have had a good experience in the 15 years I’ve been coming here. Heidi and all the staff are wonderful. I love supporting them and seeing everyone. The large portions for dinner are incredible for the price!!! I always have left overs. I love that they offer many vegetarian options too. They offer many Canadian-Chinese dishes and traditional Chinese dishes with some Canadian/American favourites (like hamburgers). I recommend the mushroom fried rice, onion pancakes (it’s like rosti), or the bean spout chow mein... especially with the chili oil they offer at each table. But the big plate of broccoli in garlic sauce is my favorite if you want something light but filling. They also offer it with Chinese broccoli. My friends and family love the daily specials and combo plates... if you don’t want a big plate of 1 big thing, the combos plates let you get 3 of the main dishes: a fried rice, a chow mein, sweet and sour pork or chicken, etc. For Family dinners they even offer a family combo “dinner for 2/4/6/etc” and have different daily specials. They also offer breakfast, dim sum, wonton soup, and other items. I also recommend their french fries. They SO good but they always come fresh hot and crispy. (Just really good simple fries.) They used to be known as the Austin Heights Diner (1989-2013) if you’ve been a longtime resident of coquitlam, I urge you visit them at their new location.“

“I visited IKEA Saudi Arabia many times during my stay there n then South Korea. And this evening I was at IKEA Coquitlam Canada. I always enjoy visiting IKEA all the places because of its keeping n offering excellent quality goods - mainly furniture - at reasonable n affordable prices. And today again it was a great experience visiting there at IKEA with my daughter n family members. We enjoyed shopping there n bought many good things. We even bought a Pakistan made twin-size duvet cover with pillow cover though I came here just two weeks back from there, though I bought a Turkish made one because of their high quality fabric and thread count. And as usual we enjoyed dining there as we never found it expensive though IKEA always offer good quality meals and its large dining area is always almost full with people from all around the world. My most favourite dish here at IKEA Coquitlam was Fish with Chips as was in South Korea. While at Jeddah in Saudi Arabia it was Hummus and Omelette while there mostly Saudi women visit just to eat high value food of their choice. And it was another good attraction for dinning people at IKEA Canada to have pleasure of taking free tea n coffee after easy n free membership. MORE POWER TO IKEA -Worldwide ❤️“

“UPDATE FEBRUARY 27/2026: I was able to do takeout tonight at this very busy location and really glad we did. I tried the new location over in Burquitlam few weeks ago but now I know I will always come back to this location on North Road because the portions are very generous in comparison and it feels like I had a complete meal. I uploaded the most recent picture of today’s takeout and in all honesty it feels like it’s almost doubled the size as the Burquitlam location.

Update :. Thanks to Julia and the owner....wow. Words can't express how I felt so blessed by this location. They really go above and beyond to ensure top notch quality and service!!! The only issue I have is I live kind of far away. I wish I lived closer lol.
