“The atmosphere has thrown me off a few times. I am sure that is due to my energy that day. However, if it's the staffs vibrations?!?! I suggest the managers start paying their employees more. This would improve their expressions and make the interactions feel more genuine. I'm not saying the staff are not wonderful. They are!! Only want to point out that the vibration seems kind of down or monotone on occasion. They sometimes can not hear me, so I end up having to shout at the audio box while being shouted at. This is constructive criticism, and I say it with love, light, enlightenment, positive affirmations, and hugs that heal. I believe a pay increase is necessary for all staff. That will lift the vibration up and make the atmosphere more comfortable.“

“I walked in here on January 20 and ordered a red velvet cake slice and an eclaire. They were both absolutely delicious! That being said, I need to rave about the pain au chocolat (basically a croissant with chocolate filling for the uninitiated), a Paris breakfast staple, which La Roux also serves. I went to Paris in October 2023 and had pain au chocolat just about every morning. They were always delicious, as they should be if you want to serve food in Paris and do well. I unfortunately have not found that quality returning to Canada - until now! I was prepared to be disappointed biting into a La Roux pain au chocolat, but OMG!, memories of my first morning in Paris came flooding back! Absolutely love this place ? I will be back and encourage fellow Paris travelers to check them out and get their amazing pain au chocolat/croissant fix in!“

“Do NOT trust the fake bad “reviews”!! Crust Bakery is a local gem. Staff are lovely, food is delicious. Savoury pastries can be messy and greasy at times, make sure they are not grilled too long. Had the pistachio ganache tart and was delighted.The entryway was quite crammed with people, difficult to get in and out“

“The macarons here are absolutely HEAVENLY. My favorite is fuzzy peach and watermelon :)). Definitely recommend the only downside is sometimes the filling is in consistent so one will have a really big of filling and an other macaron will not. But who cares they still taste really good!“

“I decided to treat myself to a mini chicken pie and a lemon curd tart for Easter weekend. I was mesmerized with the flavor and quality of their goods. I’m also enjoying their cranberry feta and rosemary specially sourdough. The lemon curd was delightfully smooth, perfect flavor and texture of the crusts on Both were 10/10. This bakery has been a neighborhood staple for so long and I hope they stay forever. Thanks for another great visit.“

“As someone that can't have dairy I have tried a lot of vegan ice cream, and parachute's is my favorite. The texture is rich and creamy, and the flavors are fun. They sell pints and cones and even by the cone, there is more than one vegan flavour to choose from, which is so appreciated. Highly recommend ?.“

“It is a bit out of the way, but definitely worth the stop. If you're headed to the ferry or airport, you should take a little detour for a pre-departure meal or snack. Their specialty lattes are great and I'm sure all the other pastries are good. I only ever get the vanilla custard Danish and I'm never disappointed. If you go in the summer they also have in-house refreshers as well which are also very good. If they break into charcuterie it would be a perfect place for me, at least.“

“A Victoria institution, unique and amazing enough that if you’re visiting the island, you should absolutely go out of your way to visit, and walk the North Park area. The exterior and Mason street is packed with awesome graffiti. For ordering: recommend the ham & cheese sandwich which has jaw dropping flavor combinations of sweet, savoury & spicy; the breakfast danish and a finale treat: the blueberry custard tart. ❤️“

Bright and calming atmosphere, bigger than most cafes which really improves wheelchair accessibility.Wheelchair accessibility: no stairs, large and spacious. bathroom is a good size :)“

“Loved this little gem. We tried pizza, the BLT, the egg breakfast sandwich, cinnamon rolls and muffins. We also bought a loaf of bread for home. Everything was really tasty the BLT was so good (it has pesto on it). The services was friendly and it was a sweet little spot.“

“Sunday pizza day. We ordered a Margherita after waiting about 20 minutes, not too bad. The wait for the pizza was going to be 35 minutes, I thought long considering the pizzas cook in 3 minutes. We ordered some baked goods to hold us over, an apple danish, a pistachio cream doughnut and a pretzel. We felt that the flavours were all there and came through but the pastries and the pretzel were too oily. The pistachio cream was spot on but the dough, oily, yes it is doughnut but I shouldn’t have to wipe my fingers of grease. The pizza…excellent!!!! The dough is not the white flour 00, it is their own blend and we could really taste the flour, it was a nice surprise. The sauce is Bianco Di Napoli tomatoes, the best and delicious, the cheese and basil were top quality. Well worth the wait. 100% if I were in the hood again I would order again.“

“While the selection of brunch items isn't huge, there's something for everyone. My scrambled eggs were absolutely perfect and the fresh basil I the bruschetta topping was so delicious. My wife really enjoyed her breakfast sandwich with avocado, the bread was soft and delicious. I will definitely be back!“

“This is legitimately THE only place in victoria to get an actual gelato, and that is all you need to know, the pistachio gelato is real and it will grab you by the ear and grind your face along the cobbles of a small villa just outside Naples. The bread is also very good.“

“Met Andy and his Filipino Co worker, whose name escapes me right now, sorry. Both of them were totally upbeat and helpful as it was our first time here. They walked us through what was what, and we put together an order. The bread was so soft on the inside with a little crunchy outside. I absolutely loved it, a long with a few goodies for myself and the kids for later on. I have walked by bringing my daughter home from school and always kicked myself for not walking with money. They leave the door open and let that beautiful baked scent fill the strip plaza, and it gets me every time. “This is my first time at this location. This fol épi is located on Harbour Road, and it truly exceeded my expectations. Fol épi, just around the corner, has some fierce competition in this area, but this gem stood out for several reasons. First, the ambiance of the place is just too cute and inviting. It's the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends and the service is excellent! The baked goods, oh my, they are heavenly! I couldn't resist indulging in a Pumpkin Spice Latte, and it was perfection . But the real showstopper was their selection of pastries - the Kouin Amann, chocolate brownie, florentine, and palmier were all phenomenal.What sets this coffee shop apart is their use of French techniques in pastry making. It's evident in the perfection of each item. It's safe to say that they offer some of the best pastries in town!Overall, I had an amazing experience at this coffee shop, and I can't wait to go back for more. If you appreciate high-quality baked goods and a cozy atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. Five stars without a doubt. I shall return!“
