“Tried it out for the first time yesterday, and it has rocketed into my top recommendations for Victoria. Nice, unpretentious vibe. Definitely laid-back and hipster, not fine dining. Would be a great place to meet with friends for drinks and happy hour. The food is absolutely spectacular. One of the best selections of oysters I’ve had in a restaurant (including places like Araxi) and reasonably priced (I will definitely come back for their two dollar happy hour oyster shucks.) The absolute star was the Wu-Tang clams. My wife loved the lobster roll as well.Cocktails were well thought out options that pair well with their dishes, but I think I would stick with their reasonably priced wine and beer list.Almost everything on the menu is seafood. If you bring someone who doesn’t eat it or is allergic there is a salad and a cheeseburger as options for them but that’s it.“

“A great hidden gem in Victoria there 7 course menu was too die for. Service was outstanding and definitely worth going again. The vibe and atmosphere feels casual fine dining and definitely worth a visit if you are in Victoria. One con it's maybe hard to find a way in but its through Ferris upstairs and the server will take you through a restaurant to your seat inside.“
“The food was so fun and delicious. We got 4 tapas for two and it was plenty. This place is a foodies dream. Everything was wonderful but DO NOT leave without getting the ceviche and the carrots with tahini. (Note for the chef: I wish the ceviche was with something other than potato chips)“

This time, the yam and spicy salmon rolls were fantastic, and I appreciated the perfectly cooked rice—a rarity in some sushi places. The hotate age was also a hit, and the Bianco dessert, as usual, was a delightful way to end the meal.“

The homemade kimchi was great, and the free ramen snack was yummy too ❤. “I had the braised pork belly with polenta and black kale as an appetizer. The main course was duck confit which was good but only came with par boiled rice. Dessert was excellent. It was sticky toffee pudding but a little too much sugar. Overall I recommend this restaurant as a quaint little getaway in the heart of Royal Oak.“

“Vista 18 has the best view out of all the restaurants on Vancouver Island. Absolutely stunning sun sets, cityscapes and the Olympic Mountains make for an unforgettable evening. Our server was a gentleman named Drew with excellent product knowledge of the restaurants food and wine. Drew was a lot of fun with quick wit and positive energy. We are eager to return for the seared tuna, we will be requesting Drew for laughs and great service.“
“I had Sirloin Steak with added Lobster Tail. The steak was good, nicely done in medium rare. The lobster is okay. It was not very moist and no butter to dip it to. The mashed potatoes were creamy, it was delicious!Only giving 4 out of 5 as one of us ordered the Kickass Salad. There was no salad dressing and the chicken was a bit dry. She had to ask for the dressing. I don’t think it’s worth the money ($21.99) for a salad.It was a table for 7 and were seated nicely in a quiet spot, hence 5 star for atmosphere. The service was 5 star, she was very nice.I generally enjoyed my food and everyone else too. I wouldn’t mind going back and try another dish from the menu.“
